Would Not RecommendThis 1/4 inch Quick connect becomes loose damaging the drill bit attached to it, the Quick connect extension and, the job itself no matter how much I tighten the screws to the extension. Much better off purchasing the correct drill bit for the job. I returned this 1/4-in Hex Quick Connect drill extension to Lowes. After a bit of a hassle I was able to get my refund.

Would RecommendI needed to purchase a new longer extension as the top part of another name brand snapped off when I tried to use it in a drill press.. I do not think that the 6 inch or any of them might be safely used in a drill press. They are ok in a hand held electric drill.

Worked well for high torque auger bits
Would RecommendI had to drill a 1" hole down in a wall over 5 feet down. I have a 4 foot long auger bit and this extension worked perfectly. I was concerned that the two little set screws on the extension wouldn't be able to hold the bit because it requires a lot more torque than a regular bit. The bit takes so much force to turn that most homeowner quality drills can't turn it. Another thing I was concerned about was that the extension might let go and I would lose the bit. Put 3 end to end, and Drilled my Hole!
Would RecommendBought 3 of these and put them end to end. Was able to drill a hole in a surface that was 29 inches from the drill, with 4 inches of clearance on the front & back. Its behind an aquarium tank, which cannot readily be moved. Cut the hole very well!
