Would RecommendWith this I can just buy the cheaper 6" spade bits or speedbor bits and still get installer length. Plus you can put whatever bit you want in it. Held up really well drilling over 500 holes in soft material. The little rubber "irwin" band around the middle is loose, I might just super glue it on or something. Not a big deal.

only works if you're drilling 3/4 or larger
Would Recommendif you are under 3/4" hole to drill it will bottom out where the drill bit is inserted into the extender. so be sure of the size before you buy. i got lucky, i needed a 3/4" bore

Would RecommendWhat a fantastic gadget! I needed a spade bit with an extended shaft and found this in Lowe's. This and a set of 5 bits was the same price as one extended bit. Since that project, I have used this as an extension for screw driver and socket driver bits. Very versatile!

Would RecommendIt does as it says. My only issue is that it is sometimes hard to remove that ever is inserted due to a almost smoothe chuck release but I guess it can be good in the thought that it won't easily be released halfway into a wall.
