What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this saw for exceptional door jamb cutting during flooring installations, highlighting its reversible blade design that enables quick repositioning for left or right-handed use. Most report it performs precisely in tight spaces, making tedious trimming tasks fast and manageable for laminate, hardwood, vinyl, and tile work. Many describe it as excellent value and a must-have tool. Some note the handle flexes under moderate use and requires occasional bending back, while a few mention blade dulling after multiple cuts. Overall, reviewers strongly recommend it for flooring projects despite minor durability concerns.

Good little saw!
Would RecommendUsed this to cut door jab for wood floor installation. Very affordable product. Initially I thought I needed something electrical, but this got the job done fairly easily.

Awesome detail saw
Would RecommendI know it says it's for dovetails, but this little guy is great for small detail. I specifically used it to cut trim to fit my new fridge. It went through the wood like it was butter, no tear out or chipping and a nice clean kerf. The offset handle can be switched around and really let me get in close to the wall, so i didn't have to take the trim off to cut elswhere.

Needed one....Got one
Would RecommendPutting down engineered flooring around doors was made very simple with this tool. Glad I finally got one. And the easy "switch blade" makes cutting both sides from the same position.

great saw
Would RecommendI had a project which required cutting flush to a wall. I could find nothing in my shop to do the job so I went looking at tools at Lowe's. I found this little handsaw and decided to try it. It worked great to make smooth cuts flush with my walls as needed. Push a button and it reverses . . .very handy!

Excellent for flooring
Would RecommendI've had this saw for about a year and a half now and have cut probably 30 door jambs and trim pieces when installing flooring. It's simple to use, just put a scrap piece of whatever you're installing next to the jamb, put the saw on top, and saw away. You're left with the perfect height for your flooring. Swaps from left to right handed quickly, and makes your flooring job look neat and professional.
Smooth
Would RecommendWe used this to cut off part of our door jam due to tiles being too high. It cut smooth and we were able to cut at an angle.

handle is not in line with blade
Would Not RecommendIt's not visible in the picture here, but the handle makes a right angle to the blade. So this could be ideal for, say, cutting dowels flush. But for any other cutting (including the advertised dovetails) this saw seems unsuitable as you'd have a hard time keeping it in a single plane as you sawed back and forth.
Great idea, no product testing.
Would Not RecommendThe idea of this saw is great but the handle is made of such a thin flimsy material that it just bends with every stroke. If saw had stiffer handle this would be a great tool. Buy a different brand!
Poorly designed
Would Not RecommendWhen using saw the blade comes out of the spring/but that holds it no matter how tight it is tightened. Needed a hole to insert into not a slot. Yes would gave taken 15 more seconded to switch sides but would have eliminated tons of frustration when it comes apart!
Light duty only
Would Not RecommendAs is the case with other reviewers, the handle on my saw kept bending and eventually broke after 4 or 5 door jambs.
Good deal for the money
Would RecommendBlade is good and stiff. It has a thin kerf and is nice and sharp. It cuts well with very little tearout. The handle is comfortable, altho I couldn't tell by the picture online, the handle is offset from the blade. There's nothing wrong with that, just a little awkward when cutting pieces that are vertical in a vise, such as dovetails. The teeth are flame hardened so this is a throw away saw when it gets dull. For the $11 pricetag,it's a good deal.
It works
Would RecommendIt is a good quality saw and the fact that the blade swings from one side to the other is a huge help. The job of cutting a door jamb is just horrible but this makes it somewhat easier.
this saw is rubbish
Would Not RecommendThe steel that connects the handle to the blade is very malleable and keeps bending right at the spring bolt. I keep having to bend it back and I'm just waiting for when metal fatigue sets in and it breaks in half. There are other dovetail saws that have teeth on both sides so you don't have to keep spinning the blade around every time you want to change from right to left. They cost about the same. Also, this blade is like 2.5 inches wide - it makes it harder to keep straight. You only nee...
