Would RecommendThese bits are exactly what I wanted. They work nicely both in my drill press and in a portable cordless drill. They create clean cylindrical bores, with minimal tearout. I'd definitely recommend them to someone looking for forstner bits. The one downside is their short shaft length, which limits the depth of holes one can bore; I knew this in advance from other reviews, so it wasn't a big issue for me.

Would RecommendSaw some marginal reviews with other similar bits so went with these. Was able to drill a hole in door and use magnets to keep closed. Previous forstner bit wasn't working (assume it was dull) but these cut the hole easily...
