Would RecommendI used these bits to cut relief pockets in my fly tying portable table top unit. It allowed very tight cuts and chip relief. I used a larger bit to cut in my individual pockets for small parts. Again they are sharp and the storage case is very handy when the bits are not in use!

Would RecommendI went in to get a 1/2”” forstner bit and found this set instead. Great value for the price, and got more than I expected. I needed to make some cleaner holes for dowel joinery in a table and they fit like a glove!

Would RecommendThese bits worked like a charm. Didn't use the dtill press because it wouldn't fit. I just clamped the project to the work bench and it worked well. I was offsetting the head of a carriage bolt so I needed a flat bottom. The points gave me a good center mark to drill the rest of the hole for the bolt.

Not what id expect from irwin
Just bought these but probably taking them back. After inspecting them, the grinds aren't very good. All edges have buds, uneven and the perimeter cutting teeth aren't very sharp. Seems like harbor freight quality. I have not used these, so I can not attest to the durability or accuracy (hole size, amount of wobble) but, I know a poor grind and finish when I see it.
Forstner bits
Would RecommendNeeded to replace hinges on 25 year old double patio Andersen doors. The new hinges required a re-mortising of the hinge groove since the original hinges were no longer made. Using a 3/4 in Forstner bit the mortises were easily accomplished. Door works well. To replace these doors is ~$1600 plus labor. The Forstner kit cost me $27. Great deal. Great tools.
