2 Identical fans, Two different speeds

I purchased two identical fans on 08/20 and put them up , one in one room and the other in the dining room within 25 foot of the other to find out that one rotates faster than the other and both on high speed, for a 70" fan I was hoping that they would move the air alot better than they did, I have sent an email to Hunter and to complain that that are same fan but different. If it was not such a pain to take them down and take them back to Lowes I would replace them, as we sold the previous HUnt...

Very slow at its highest speed

I have the 60 and the 70. The 60 produces a small hurricane in my bedroom...the 70 doesn't really change speeds at all...its either very slow, or just slow...very disappointed in this fan.

wife did not like appearance of palettes. the light fixture seems cheap in comparison to the miramar II hampton bay that is broken after 10 yrs of daily use.... need 70" or more for large bedroom, otherwise would have replaced it with another miramarII from Home depot./ have other smaller similar hunter fan of lesser diameter , and, so far they are ok.....:-)

Hard to install w remote!

Such a pain & took hours to install w remote! The dome that covers the ceiling needs to be made much larger to hold the remote connector, way too small to fit all the wires!

Great Fan. Moves lots of air

This fan is perfect for our high ceilings. It move lots of air and looks great. My only complaint would be the electrical box screws that are supplied. They are a phillips head and not a bolt head, so they strip easy.

Great Fan

Bought the unit for our large den as we replaced a 56" Harbor Breeze that wasn't moving much air. After installation I initially would have expected the fan to run much faster. However, moving 8,000 CFM is not about speed but more about size of the blades and the angle of the blades. Don't expect this to blow like a hurricane but it does move a lot of air and works very well in a large area. Finding a 70" fan for the value price of $229 is almost impossible especially considering the quality pro...

We bought three of these fans for our remodel. They look great in our house. We looked around at a lot of places and Lowes had by far the best selection of fans available. Very happy with our purchase.

Add Hunter universal remote to purchase. Great investment! Hunter fans are very dependable, I have them install through-out my entire house

I have purchased 10 of these for this and another home. Quiet and the move alot of air even in the slower speeds. I have them in my home with 10' ceilings and no issues. Easy to install but it will take some time. 1.5 to 2 hrs to install. I have 2 cons on this fan. 1) the speed switch failed on 2 of 10 2) the glass defuser is a little dark Other than that, the quiet and wobble free operation is awesome. I would recommend.

A Pain to Assemble

Bought this product because Hunter's fans have usually proved very reliable in the past. We need a fan for a "great room" in our new house, and this was the first time we saw one larger than 52 inches. However, the instructions were not terribly clear, even to me, a veteran fan installer, who has put these things up in five different houses, for a total of 30 fans over the years. Great Fan

We purchased and installed this fan to replace a smaller one in our living room. We have very tall ceilings. It does not make any noise and it generates adequate air on the slower speed I have it on. The included light bulbs are not very bright and the glass bowl light cover is not white. It's more of a tan color. It did not look tan on the box nor the website. It looked white. But all in all I like the fan. It is very decorative and quiet.

Fan is extremely quiet Moves a lot of Air, runs so smooth

no remote

The fan was easy enough to install if you have a little electrical experience. Biggest complaint is that for a fan that cost over $200 there is no remote. I read the box but half was in spanish so by not reading careful it was my fault. But if you look, they have fans at half the price with a remote. Of course you can buy one for $60. I wouldn't recommend this because of the no remote issue.

Worst fan I have purchased

I am a builder, and while I have seen my fair share of budget fans installed in homes, I would not have thought that Hunter would produce a fan to ruin their reputation. I purchased this fan from Lowe's about a year ago. We have a sloping ceiling and needed more airflow than the fan that was up there. I threw out the old fan, left it in the rain, and wish I would have just left it up there. This fan on high puts out less air flow than a 52" fan. The speeds are set too low. Moves more air than any fan we have had to date.

Simple to assemble and install. Everything needed except screws long enough to reach past the depth of the electrical box was included. Long screws are there but with a full 2" deep electrical box the screws provided aren't quite long enough to get a good bite in the wood above to hold the weight of this fan. The only thing that holds this from a 5 star over all is the difficult location of the reversing switch but not sure how if at all it could be changed. Maybe a pull chain for reversing like...

Pain to install. And motor is loud

I had to call the help line 3 times. Had to use vice grips in order to remove the screws that are in the motor/shipping plate. Stripped 3 screws prior. Was missing a screw for a step. Installing blades alone was nearly impossible. And to top it off. The motor hums quite loud. Noticed it as soon as I turned the fan on.
