Hunter warranty

I have been trying to.help a SENIOR citizen whom is 84 yrs old that bought a home nxt to mine and the Hunter fan model number 55043 has stopped working. I have contacted HUNTER and they want a receipt for the fan which I know was purchased at Lowes because I did it. But they have missed placed as they say the receipt. Now hunter won't replace it. Can anyone tell me the nxt step in getting this issue resolved.

Burnt electrical smell

This is the 2nd hunter fan that has gone bad. Warranty is a joke I will not buy another hunter fan ever

Not enough air output

We needed a fan for our second story open loft area. Mind you we live in Texas where the summers can be rough. I bought two of these fans due to the size we assumed it would feel like a tornado. WRONG! The output is less than our smaller room fans. When my husband installed it I thought the high setting was on low (that's how slow the blades were spinning). They look great tho, easy to install. However we are returning both fans!

Great looking fan! Install was "about normal" for a fan of this size on a high ceiling with a marching army of 1 doing all the work. Installed a nice after market remote, also bought at Lowes, that included BluTooth connectivity from my smartphone. Great fan for your great room

We have had this fan over a year now and still love it. It wasn’t the easiest to install due to the size, but it wasn’t hard either. Some have complained about the slow speed, which it does spin slower than a 52 inch but the blade size makes up for it. It won’t blow the papers off your coffee table, so if thats what you are looking, this isn’t the fan for you. No light!

We have had this fan over our kitchen table for 3 years. We are disappointed with the light output.....even trying to put new bulbs in(led ). With fan being so high little light gets through. We are looking to see if we can find a new light fixture. The fan does not move very fast.....limited air movement. Disappointed with this fan. Was around $200 when we purchased.

Not worth the money

Just finished installing; going to take it back in the morning. The fan felt nice and sturdy, installation wasn't overly difficult. My family owns a lighting store and I have installed at least 50 fans in my lifetime either for myself, family, or customers and I've never had one wobble like this after installation. Useless

I bought this to replace a 60" Hunter I had and loved, but the light wouldn't stop flickering. I am very disappointed in this new Hunter. Even on high this fan barely moves any air. Wouldn't even flicker a candle flame. Low is pointless. Pretty, but a complete waste of $200. The light is very dim with the tea stained glass. Buying a different one today.

Awful!

We purchased 2 of these fans-- both had the same annoying motor HUM the entire time the fan was on. We installed 1, assumed it was a fluke so went back to Lowes for a replacement. Installed the 2nd fan, same exact noise. Looks great but the air output is not there. My hampton 52 puts out 5000 compared to the hunter 8000 and its night and day. I actually thought it was broke it was turning so slow with littke wind. Its high speed is more of a low on any other fan. Sucks because its a beutiful fan. 200$ wasted

great fan

This fan went in real easy and assembled nicely. It did take a lot of pressure to get the motor cover bolts off but it didn't slow me down. It went in perfect, no wobble and I didn't even have to use the balancing kit that came with it, great lighting with different bulbs. Just take your time and put it in right and it will be a great fan. The air flow is fantastic, whisper quite and moves air in all the connected rooms to my living room.

Wobbly, smelly, and weak

As some other reviewers mentioned, for a 70" fan you'd think this thing would blow you out of your seat. I had it mounted in a 10x10' sunroom and was not impressed with the airflow at all. On top of that, the thing wobbled so bad it took four stick-on weights on a single blade just to get it to stop gyrating. For as big as the fan is I thought i would get more air flow than the one i was replacing it with but it has less speed and is a lot less air movement

We have been looking for a large ceiling fan to install in our great room in our cabin. Found this one on sale at a great price, so despite a lot of the reviews, we purchased one and took it up to the cabin to install. The ceiling is 17 feet tall where the fan junction box is located, but I thought I could pull the wires from the fan into the ceiling fan light switch area, and then pull the current wires from the ceiling into the fan and hook up. Buyer Beware!!!

First off let me say this review is no where reflective of Lowes in general. They were helpful in every way possible given that when I initially bought this fan it didn't have all the parts to it and they switched it out for a new one and gave me a 10% discount to boot. fan worked great, light overheated

Electricians worked two days trying to get light to work. Third day they came and even though the fan had not been on, the electrical works t the light inside were extremely hot. Light still did not work. They advised us to buy something else and they took it down.

Looks nice but doesn't move the air

We bought two of these hunter fans about a year and a half ago and have barely used them because they just don't work. Great Fan!

I almost didn't buy this fan, based on a few bad reviews saying that it didn't move much air. Glad I didn't listen. The fan installs much like others I have installed, and the instructions were clear. It moves a lot of air. The light kit is nice, unless you need a very bright overhead light.
