Not a good choice

The fan only worked on low speed ( no high or medium ) and the pull chains were missing.

Hunter Waldon is not worth bringing home

Hunter used to be synonymous with quality...not any more! I purchased 3 of these Waldon fans, and have had issues with 2 of the 3. The newest one had an issue with the wiring harness after less than a year. The fan would only work on low speed, which is worthless. These fans don't move much air on high speed...certainly not like Hunter Fans I have owned in the past. Poor engineering

The fan itself is nice to look at and seems to operate as designed (so far) but my issue with it is that it could not be put together with the parts provided. There are 3 screws that secure the light fixture to the body of the fan and the pre-drilled holes are too small to accommodate the screws. At this point in the install, you already have wired the fan and have it hanging from the ceiling. Very Pleased

I bought this ceiling fan for our home office in a new house. I love the stylish look of it, and it has been very reliable and moves air nicely. I would definitely purchase this one again.

Love this Fan

5 minutes? It took us an hour and I think it was as simplified a process as possible. That being said, it's a beautiful and quality product. I would buy it again should we need another fan and would highly recommend it to anyone searching for a ceiling fan.

A Dream to install

My husband purchased the fan without me present, so when he brought it home, and I saw "5 minute fan" advertised on the box, I thought, I want to go look at what other choices there are, as I felt we did not get the "best" one as it relates to style and design. However, I did not go back to the store, and decided to just go with it as it was going in a guest room anyway. Wish the "high" speed was faster

This is a good looking fan and is working so far (was installed a few days ago). Main issue is that the "high" speed on this fan is about what I'd expect as a "medium" speed. I figured high speed was about the same across different brands, but apparently it's not. May be a little too slow for really hot days, but nothing I can really do about it now. Screwless blade design causes drooping

I have three of this fan all with a downrod for approximately two years. The blades are very easy to take on and off because the blade posts go through holes that have a kind of rubber washer in them. These rubber washers seem to harden (particularly the hole at the top of the blade) in hotter temperatures (78+), which can cause the washers to dislodge from the blade and/or the blades to droop. Because the blades have no screws, there isn't a way one can then tighten the screws to stop the droop...

Great fan!

I was looking for a fan that would work well and also be nicer to look at than most ceiling fans. This fan caught my eye immediately in the store because of the black blades (they are cherry wood grain on the flip side). The light fixture has a nice, smooth globe that doesn't blind you and doesn't look like it came from 1985. Fan took a little longer than "5 minutes" to install, but it was not difficult. After seeing it installed, I am planning to buy 3 more just like this for my new house!

The best value out there

We purchased 3 of these fans but when we went home, one of the boxes seemed to be missing a few pieces. We should've checked the box before we left but thought nothing of it. We returned the box to the store and did an even exchange.

It took a little longer than 5 min. to put up. Did not like the design of the way I put the blades on. Very poor idea the way the blades were installed.

Stay away......

I purchased this fan, thinking that it would perform just as my other 3 Hunter fans did (other models from Costco and Home Depot). NOT!!!! Though advertised as a "5 minute install", only a marathoner on fan installs might, every 10th try, accomplish that. And it WOBBLES, WOBBLES, WOBBLES! No amount of balancing could change that. (I wasted 45 more minutes after the 45 I spent installing.) Need I say more?

Hunter Walden fan

This is a beautiful fan with the quality we expect from Hunter (this is the 7th Hunter ee have purchased). Unfortunately, there were a few issues we were disappointed with. The center finial under the light globe drops down farther then we thought it would and with 8' ceilings it does not give my 6'2" cap-loving husband much clearance to walk under. The Best Fan that I Have Had

The only bad thing about this fan is the high price. We have had it for two years and it has held up very nicely, despite near-constant use. It is easy to install and very durable. I highly recommend it. Addtionally, exact replacement parts can be purchased directly from Hunter Fans for a very reasonable price. I accidentally broke the glass shade/globe, and I had a new one within three days from Hunter Fans without paying much.

Quite Fan

Be sure to check hardware included with fan. The three mounting screws for light kit were wrong size. Had to buy correct screw next day at Lowes.

Just Buy It!!

This fan was very easy to install, looks great, and runs very quietly. It was perfectly balanced out of the box but also includes a balancing kit if necessary. Get it on sale while you can!
