Would RecommendThis product is of fine workmanship and quality. The fan runs silently and the parts assemble with ease. There are two aspects that can cause an issue: (1) the screws on the light assembly are extremely difficult to thread into the fan base; and, even more importantly, (2) the 3-bulb diagram on the box for the included light assembly had only 2 lights, with 3 empty bulb boxes. Would RecommendI'm not sure what marketing "guru" determined this to be a "5-minute fan" but they obviously never in their life installed one. No, it won't take you five minutes to install it. That being said, Hunter has done some pre-assembling of parts that are normally part of the routine installation process of most other ceiling fans. In this case the fan blade arms come already attached to the motor. The blades, using three rubber grommets per blade, "snap" onto pins cast on the arms ...no screws involve...

Would RecommendWe were looking for a slightly modern fan that also wouldn't clash with a traditional home. Easy to install, looks great and the price was not bad at all. The two different colors on the blades give you some flexibility. It is a nice fan for the price, especially for first-time homebuyers.

Would Not RecommendI bought this ceiling fan May of 2013. It was easy to install but last night when I turned on the light the light kit blew both light bulbs and burnt itself out. The quality of Hunter has gone way down hill.

Hunter Fan's
Would RecommendI have replaced almost all my fans in my older home during the past year. Two of them have been Hunter. I wish I had bought all Hunter. They are much easier to assemble and install....and are much quieter and just plain higher quality. Great fans!

Would RecommendI'm not sure how it can be called the" 5 minute" fan but it is definitely easy to install. My only worry about the easy install blades is the rubber grommets deteriorating over time and causing the blades to become loose which screws never do. Other than that the fan is of the normal Hunter quality. It is quiet and very nice looking. I only rated the quality as good because of my concern about the rubber grommets that come installed on the blades which the attach studs snap in to.
Excellent ceiling fan with some concerns
Would RecommendI very much like this ceiling fan. Extremely easy to install compared to other fans I've owned. My only concern is after long term usage whether the grommets that hold the blades to the motor will fail over time. Not sure if they will wear out or not hold the blades as tight. Other than this I love the fan and even considering buying 6 more tor the other rooms. Just waiting for a sale :)
This is a great ceiling fan. I give it 4 stars, rather than 5, only because some of the screws were missing when I unpacked the fan and its parts, It did not look as if the box was opened previously, so I assume the screws were never packed.

Would RecommendI have never messed with anything electrical and never thought about installing a fan myself, but after watching Lowes DIY video on youtube i decided to give it a shot! Hunter gave great easy to use instructions that were very easy to follow! I installed this bymyself in about 20 mins due to the fact i kept rereading the instructions! I have had other brands in my other house and they are not nearly as nice or quiet as the Hunter! I have now installed 2 more for a total of 3 fans, replacing bori...

Would RecommendI bought this fan from our local Lowes a few months back and installed it myself. It has been great so far. We liked it because of the dark blades and the nickle finish. It makes the fan look sharp. It was really easy to install. I think it took about 30 minutes or so total. Parts of the fan come per-assembled making it a bit quicker to assemble than a normal fan, but not quite "Five Minutes".

Would RecommendI am happy with brightness of the light compared to my previous ceiling fan/light. I don't understand the rod it hangs on it can move and makes a noise at higher speed.

Would RecommendThe 5-minute installation is for professionals and even some of them might not make it in that time-frame. Nonetheless, the fan is well worth the effort to install. It runs smoothly and quietly.
