Ratings & Reviews for Hubbell RACO 1 -Gang Galvanized steel New work/Old work Switch/Outlet Electrical Box
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise these metal junction boxes for their sturdy, well-built construction and ease of retrofit installation. Reviewers consistently highlight the thick metal, robust design, and reliable performance, particularly for old-work electrical applications. Many appreciate the shallow depth and side knockouts that fit perfectly in tight spaces like kitchen islands and under-counter installations. The mounting ears enable secure, straightforward installation with wood screws. Some note the shallow profile works well for dimmers and single switches but caution it's snug for GFCI receptacles with multiple cables. A few mention missing cable clamps or occasional knockout misalignment. Overall, most customers find the boxes ideal for confined spaces and retrofit work.
