What Customers Are Saying
The drywall shims are generally considered a useful and effective product for leveling and plumbing walls and ceilings during home renovation and drywall installation projects. Many customers found the shims to be flexible, easy to cut to size, and helpful in straightening out uneven surfaces. Several reviewers noted the shims worked well for preparing cement boards and drywall prior to tiling or finishing. However, some customers were disappointed the shims were made of cardboard rather than the expected pine material, and a few felt the cardboard shims were of lower quality. There were also some complaints about the shims swelling or deteriorating when exposed to moisture.

Would RecommendThese shims are paper board, you definitely need to be aware of that. They were easy to staple onto wall studs to bring shallow studs into line.

Does what it is suppused to do
Would RecommendEasy to use, my husband used this to help straighten out the studs and joists prior to hanging drywall so that the walls are not wavy. Super easy to use, just tear it or use a utility knife to cut it. It was really helpful around the metal plates which were placed on the studs where wiring is running through. 1 stip equaled the thickness of the metal plate so that msade the process so much easier. He used a staple gun to place the pieces in their places.

Straight flat drywall install
Would RecommendDoing a bathroom remodel and wanted my walls perfectly straight for countertop. These are great where studs can’t be planed down. Simply staple on with T50 staples and drywall goes up perfectly straight. Also use it behind my foam backer for the tile shower. A little extra time up front to save a lot of headache later.

Always fixing others mistakes
Would RecommendNothing like some crooked walls that need fixing... Drywall shims were exactly what I needed for straightening shower walls before tiling. The uniform thickness made it easy to build a flat, plumb surface so the tiles went up smoothly with no issues. They're flexible, easy to cut with a utility knife or just fold, and simple to fasten in place. Coming in a pack of 100, there's plenty to work with for a full bathroom project. Great value and they did the job perfectly.
