Ratings & Reviews for Greenworks 24-volt 10-in Straight Shaft Battery String Trimmer

Good Product, Could be improved

The trimmer itself is able to get the sections I needed cleaned up well, however the edger functionality is a little lacking. I've found that the cord doesn't reach as far as I would like it to, even on it's longest setting. Overall a good purchase that lasts long enough to get the job done.

Great weed wacker

This weed wacker/ lawn edger id light, easy, and does a great job!

Works better than I hoped

This works great, it's lightweight rotates from edger to trimmer easily. Once it's adjusted and "broken" in cuts like a dream. Lasts a very long time on 4ah battery. I cut a 1/3 of an acre that was overgrown so required multiple passes and still had left over battery.

Women will love it!

Great for a small yard. Easy to handle and start. I wasn’t great at edging at first but have the hang of it now and my yard looks perfectly manicured. Love the fact that it is battery operated. I have the Greenworks mower and love it. Thank you Greenworks for great products.

Lightweight, not sure about quality

Nice lightweight tool, but the string became worn down within one use. I'm hoping that Greenworks will replace it.

Received defective tool

Probably an excellent tool, but received defective when it wouldn't fold back properly to fit in box for return.

Great products

We bought the trimmer and blower combo and we have the chainsaw we love them all. The batteries last a long time, and keep the charge.

Broke

Unpacked this 7/29/2021 used it about 30 and then trimmer head came flying off when I tried to screw it back on I noticed that gears were stripped of all the teeth

Great for edging sidewalks as well as tough to reach areas!

Works great, pairs with my mower. Really like the swivel functionality for edging. Lightweight and effective. Battery life is more than i need.

Great strimmer strong and powerful so handy no cords trailing love it never

On my way to replace all my tools to 60 volt battery items should have done this a long time ago

Great line feeding

Much better line feeding mechanism than the ones you bump on the ground. Feeds automatically with no problems. No extension cord saves time.

SO GLAD I PURCHASED THIS TRIMMER

I absolutely LOVE this trimmer. It works much better than imagined and so much easier than my last gas trimmer. No more oil, gas problems, no pulling, much less shaking. In fact minimal hand irritation and so much more quieter than my old gas trimmer. Works fast and I get my full acre lawn worth of trimming done in a full charge. Very impressed with this and highly recommend if you are on the fence. Battery charges pretty fast right out of the box and its lighter and easier to use than tradition...

Great string trimmer

Battery powered is the way to go. It goes through everything.

Happy with this purchase

It works well but I have to admit it takes skill to cut along an edge of lawn to create a straight edge line. Cuts the edges of lawn well. Easy to start up. One battery works with all devices we purchased and that is really nice!

Big Disappointment, not as advertised

Not the easiest tool to use. You really need a second battery, because it doesn't last as-long-as advertised. Disappointed because of this.

Spool string does not hold at all

I recently bought this trimmer. The string does not stay at all. It breaks within no time and won't come out even after pushing the spool against the ground. Every time, I have to open the spool and take it out. It is getting very frustrating and annoying.

OK to a point.

Pretty good when the line extends. It doesn't come out when bumped and sometimes gets lost inside resulting in disassembly.

Assembling instructions poor...the knob to attach the handle is broken

I had difficulty assembling the trimmer STG304 The instructions were poorly issustrated. The handle knob is not usable it is too short to reach the screw in blot.
