Worth the money fun to use

I am a general contractor and I don't paint that much, i bought this sprayer to expedite the refreshing of my mother in -laws house, it took some getting used to but it performed perfectly. Figuring out the pressure for the paint and the spray patterns takes some trial and error. After the intro is completed the sprayer did all i expected. The cleaning of the unit is simple and fast..

Graco lifetime partner in airless spraying

I’ve had Grayco sprayers for over 35 years plus got me through my professional career and now as just a retired contractor homeowner this is my 2nd X5 overtime. Great sprayer great bang for the buck.

Very lightweight, easy to move

Simple to use and set up. I used it both on oil base and latex. Worked as expected. You need heavy gauge extension cord. I used 12 gauge at 75 feet and it worked fine. I tried a 16 gauge at 100 feet and it did not work.

absolute piece of garbage

If you like fast, poor quality paint jobs and you like to work on stuff, this is the sprayer for you! I spend more time trying to get it to work than I do painting. Very unpredictable spray. It'll work fine for 20 minutes then it may spray think and cause runs or spray thin. Sometimes spits globs.

I haven’t had a chance to use my new sprayer yet so it’s very difficult to give a fair review of your product. I will soon be painting the black wall around my house as soon as I’m done with that project I will be happy to write a thorough review.

Graco paint spraying system

My first use was outside with a small ladder to cover being able to paint the structure. The system works very well with no problems, clean up was actually harder than doing the painting, but I understand how important it is to make sure your system is clean for the next use. The second project (one week later) was also outside and the same results, very good coverage during painting operations. Excellent machine

I bought this over a month ago and it has performed flawlessly. I don't like to paint, matter of fact, I hate painting. So I purchased this Graco hoping to make the task suck less. So far I have completed 3 different outdoor projects. The biggest was the back deck which spans the entire back of the house. It was quick and easy. The deck looks great. The machine was easy to setup and get started. It was also simple to take down and clean.

Filter paint

For those experiencing clogging, you have to filter your paint first. Lowes sells one gallon bag filter and five gallon bag filters. Put the bag in an empty one or five gallon bucket then pour the paint in the bucket. Pull the filter out of the bucket while squeezing out the paint. You'll be surprised how much junk is in new paint. I hope this helps.

Easy to use

As a beginner to this type of sprayer. I found it easy to use and clean up was easy. As I specifically purchased it to paint trim and doors for now. Just make sure u get the proper tips for ur project as it will help ur final results.

Takes a bit of practice to get used to it, but works as advertised. I have the X5, but I wish there was a stand available for it, like the X7, so I don’t have to set on a tote to allow the suction hose to stay in a 5 gallon paint container.

Great for beginners.

Purchased for painting inside home and outside shipping container. Used exterior of shipping container as practice. Very little over spray, painted crown molding, chair rail, window and floor trim using 211 tip, main walls with included 515 tip. Floor drop cloth and 24" handled trim guard, no taping. Set up was easy cleanup was easy compared to cleaning brushes. There is some waste of paint depending on how much you trust yourself empty line back into the bucket before water gets to the end.

Great product

I bought this about a month ago now to work on some home painting projects both interior and exterior. The education center videos and quick reference guide was outstanding. Really easy to understand and use. I've completed several of my projects extremely fast. Can't say enough about this product.

Gets the job done!

We got the Magnum X5 to spray stain/sealer a series of privacy panels in our backyard and a trash bin corral. 11 panels including two gates. Well over 1100 square feet of surface area to cover. The X5 got it done with ease in one day - approximately five hours. The prep and clean up can be a little daunting at first, but once you have been through the process a couple times, it starts to make sense and becomes less of a task. Save your money

First time using this the spray pattern has lines at the top and bottom. Changed the pressure, not much changed. Hope to sell it and let it be someone else’s problem. Cleaning it takes longer than the amount you use it. Don’t bother calling the help number.

Easy to operate

Works very well. The only problem is with the spray nozzle. The part called single seal gasket just fell out of the nozzle. The rubber washer that attaches to it came off and can not find it. So far I can not find just the rubber piece. The whole single seal gasket has to be purchased as far as I can see.
