Ratings & Reviews for Graco Magnum X5 Electric Stationary Airless Paint Sprayer

Bought my machine last week. Works great. But I wish there was more info about sprey technique I spreyed. A wall. And had lots of lines. Tried putting higher pressure. To get more of a mist. Effect. But it did not work well.

Quality sprayer

I bought this sprayer for painting my house exterior. This is a quality machine. Clear setup/use guide, easy priming, and sufficient pressure for spraying latex to a smooth finish. Cleanup is involved but not overly so. Perfect for large DIY home projects.

I’ve been using Graco in my business for years and as usual the product never lets me down.

Fun experience

First time spray paint user, this product was very easy to use and I enjoyed painting for onve!

High quality product that produces a smooth finish

I finally got around to using this sprayer after feeling a bit intimidated by the lengthy instructions. Starting up was easier than I expected and cleaning up was more challenging. But overall I was very happy with the results and have other projects lined up. Just remember to mask and cover anything you don’t want to get paint on because it will produce a lot of overspray. I would recommend this sprayer if you have a lot of or large paint projects to get done. The time spent masking and coverin...

Easy to use, no surprises, efficient.

I purchased this to paint a 40' long x, 9.5'-high shipping container. I had a container delivered; I leveled it and sanded several rusted areas on the sides. After sanding, I painted with and Exterior Metal paint. The X5 performed very well, once I got it primed and adjusted. Which wasn't too much of an issue. Paint went on smooth and coverage was good. Cleanup was a little messy and took a little while. Very Good Machine.

A must have!

Best compact sprayer I’ve used. Highly recommended!

Great!

I bought this a month ago, and I am so happy! It saved me a lot of time and energy. It is awesome!

Easy to lose parts during cleanup.

I got the X5 sprayer to paint a large pole building roof in July 2026. The first coat went on quickly and everything was good. When we did the clean up we ended up loosing the gasket for the sprayer tip. We did not find anything about this gasket in the instructions. We did not know this gasket easily came out of the tip during cleaning. The gasket was lost when the waste bucket was dumped out. Thank goodness we purchased a 20" extension tip when we bought the X5 or we would have been driv...

EASY TO CLEAN SPRAYS EVEN

Easy to take apart and clean each time. Good unit to pre-paint your house trim before installing.

So much faster

I bought this with the roller attachment to paint an apartment. It worked great! I painted most of the apartment with the roller attachment after I trimmed everything. It was easy to store overnight so I could finish painting the next day. Then I painted the pantry in the kitchen with just the sprayer. The price is great for the jobs I want to do. It was easy to clean and store, too. The best part - it was so much faster than using a regular roller!

Quality, but dissappointed.

Liked the quality feel, but couldn't spray the paint without chocking up and splattering despite the Graco directions, largest nozzle it could fit, paint can nozzle size requirement met and store associate confirmed. Alas, it splattered and was still too "small" or not pumping enough for a quality paint it was advertised to be used for (paint can nozzle size spec agreed). Normally Lowes struggles/hesitates with paint sprayer returns due to dishonest customers which I can easily understand, but a...

Mesh Messed Things Up

Poor quality just like this review site. Trying to upload a picture of the piece of mesh filter that caused me 3 hours of troubleshooting to get it to work, but not able to

Great Sprayer!

Bought this sprayer to paint the exterior of my house. So far, I am impressed with the simple setup, ease of use, and quality of spray. Very lightweight and easy to move around. No problems with clogs, leaks, or any others issues. Very pleased!

Excellent Paint Sprayer, Even for Beginners

I absolutely love this paint sprayer! I was a little intimidated at first because I’d never used an airless sprayer before, but after watching a few YouTube tutorials (which I highly recommend), everything clicked. Once I understood the setup and how to use it properly, it was a cinch. The sprayer lays down a smooth, even coat and made my painting project so much faster than using a roller or brush. It was easy to adjust, and cleanup wasn’t nearly as difficult as I expected if you follow the in...

Money well spent

I bought this about a week ago to paint the exterior of my house, the instructions and set up was very easy to understand and follow. The sprayer performs very well and once the pressure is adjusted correctly it sprays very evenly. Minimal overspray when painting. Clean up procedures are easy and if maintained well, will last well.
