Would Not RecommendPurchased these calipers to measure valve shims that are quite small and require precise measurement. These calipers are plastic and lightweight, which isn't inherently a negative but it just isn't accurate or well-made enough for this job. The packaging says it has an accuracy of about .02mm which would be reasonable but is not the case. I found the calipers to frequently be about .08 to .1mm short of an accurate measurement, which is not acceptable for most jobs that would require a micromete...

Would RecommendVery Efficient Effective Tool for what I need for my hobbies.

Would RecommendIt's small, plastic and light. Seemed it wouldn't be accurate but resets to spec. Has storage case, too. I like how, with small items, I don't have to find that balance like with heavier metal calipers to get the items in the jaws.

Would Not RecommendGives results +/-0.5mm on repeated readings & zeroing. Fair for a rough gauge, but the read out pretends to be what it is not. It should not display two decimals. Good to 1 decimal with an error margin of +/- 0.5. Problem is skid, and may be not carbon fiber.

not bad for $20 (I MODIFIED THE FOAM INSERT)
Would Recommend(I MODIFIED THE FOAM INSERT AND INSERTED A THICKNESS GUAGE)This caliper is as accurate as advertised as far being +/- .001. Just make sure to use a thinkness guage to verify it's accuracy as you should with any caliper. There is enough space in the case to cut out a spot to insert a thinkness guage.
