Piece of mind

I bought the generator a couple of months ago to prepare for any power outage and haven’t had to use it yet. It’s great knowing we are prepared for an issue that WILL occur.

Great Features

I bought the GP8000E to replace my Honda 7000 that was over 25 years old. The setup was relatively straight forward except for attaching the battery cables. When I unclipped the zip tie holding the battery leads for shipping, I didnt notice that the power connector for the starter had become disconnected, probably when I cut the zip tie. Spec sheet is misleading.

Purchased the 12500/9500 Model G0080610 Tri-fuel unit as backup for my home. Electrician wired in a transfer switch and I tested it and it's easy to start and it works well. I bought this partly because the specifications showed it had automatic idle, so I could use it for work or camping without it roaring at full rpm all the time. Needs to be in a ventilated area

The first one had a bad LP regulator. Home Depot was great at getting it swapped. The replacement ran like a champ.

Came just in time for Hurricane Season!

Generac 12500 is a winner in my book

I purchased this generator to supply power to my home during any outages. So, hopefully it won't get a lot of use. I've only had the generator for a couple of days, but it seems like a very well-constructed machine. It started right up, and easily handled its tasks. It's heavy, but that is to be expected. I have only used fuel from my propane tanks as of this time. I doubt that I will ever use regular gas as I have had bad luck in the past. I would like to suggest that the machine could have...

Wrong item sent

The item we ordered was supposed to be 50 amps but we received 40 Amp generator, which would not fit our needs. No replacement offered when we called to have wrong item picked up.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We finally were able to try it. He is a beast! It can power an entire home. Everything was in the box to assemble it. Very heavy ( I think it’s more than 230 lbs). It has tires that need to be installed so it can be moved. The noise is not as loud as I was expecting. Has a lot of power. Runs on gasoline, propane and natural gas.
