Good generators but...

Bought 2 of these. In FL, I start them about every 6 months. At 9 months old, one did not start. H Depot didn't even have them on file as a purchase. Generac fixed that. I got the repair but had to rent a uhaul - 2 separate trips to take to the shop and back home. I think it should have been fixed on site, considering I spent almost 2k with them. I do like them though

Terrible Experience!

At first I loved my purchase but within operating the generator for 10 hours, one set of outlets has shorted out. There was no water damage, simply stopped working. When I contacted support I was told that I needed to deal with wherever I bought it (authorized dealer) or a repair location. Funny though- repair locations they gave me refuse warranty work, and authorized dealer tells me it’s a final sale, best of luck. Nice unit.

I bought this after the last storm, but haven't had to use it yet. It starts easy and should have plenty of power to run the whole house.

so far, the product has met my expectations. the setup was fairly easy. It would be nice if the manual print had a larger font. It would also be nice if the generator came with a wattage meter.

This has been the best generator I have ever owned, so far have run it only off propane. No gas going stale in the tank best choice I have ever made!!

Awesome

I bought this after a heavy rain storm that knocked out the power. No power, no sump pump. Heavy rain forecast for the next day. Fortunately the storm passed without any issues. I am ready for the next storm.

Needs a load meter

during recent power outage, the generator work efficiently, running 9 hours on about half a tank of gasoline. However, lacking a load indicator, I had to closely monitor gas usage because I didn't know how much load was being carried so I couldn't know how long the tank of gas would last (based on the literature noting the tank of gas would last approximately 9 hours at half load) This is a great machine, but without a load meter it must be monitored nearly constantly lest it run out of gas...

I purchased my Generac generator at Ace Hardware in North Webster IN on March 13th, 2026. I have used it 3 times since then. I am extremely happy and satisfied with my purchase. Thank you.

It starts and runs great. The only problem is it is missing a pin for the handle. I called Generac and talked to a person and he said he would ship one pin and never did.

Reliable and Powerful generator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This generator came almost fully put together. Super simple instructions for putting together/use and I love how powerful it is. It's easy to fuel up and set up the controls aren't to complicated. We used it with multiple bad snowstorms this last year and it never let us down. Would absolutely recommend and it's worth every penny.

Well built, it ran go on test run started right up. Won't know any more until I have to use it.

Solid Generator

My generator has worked flawlessly since I purchased it. Unfortunately I have been unable to get it to work as I had intended, which is to run my pool circulation pump during winter power outages. I have verified through multiple electrical experts that my connection from the generator to the pool equipment is correct. My next step is to adjust the Hertz output down to 60 from the 62 it is currently producing. Any direction you can provide me to make that adjustment would be sincerely appreciate...

Didn't even get a chance to use it/ it failed.

I bought this new generator new in the box for our deer camp. We unboxed it and added the oil and clean gasoline and started it. It was gushing gas out of the carb so we had to shut it down. When we called Menards to bring it back for an exchange they said that they don't take them back and we had to bring it to a certified repair shop that was 75 miles away from our camp.
