Generac generator

Had problems with product right from the start. Could not return product to Lowes out of the box.Took it to get repaired under warranty. Repair person is having trouble getting an answer from Generac as what to do with the issue. It's been a week since I took it in. Not very happy with product at the moment.

The generator was shipped ok, But had to call lowes to have a repair person to come out and show me A) to use it. B) and make sure it works before he was gone from my house, Because if it did not work I wanted the service person to take notes of this and to have it fixed now or to have it returned!

Don’t buy generator form Lowe’s wouldn’t take back

Lowe’s has poor customer service.

One of the handle grips were missing. I went back to Lowe’s a week after purchasing to get a grip. The store manager Mike Foster would not give me one of another generator. He told me that I needed to call Generac. That is poor customer service.

Frustrated! Generator for Storm

Bought generator upon threat of storm knocking out power. Bought a few days prior assembled and started upon completing installation. Brought it down to where it would be used and thought I would test it out. Good thing because it never would keep constant voltage! Called Generac 1-800 number and tried to troubleshoot to no avail. Got it out of the box from local lowes, got it put together, and running, but gas poured out of the carburetor area. When i called generac, they said, "yes we have a lot of problems with that".. only way to fix is call local dealer. We had to take 200 plus pound generator to dealer; 2 weeks later still waiting...

The right features at the right price

I was facing an ice storm and living in an all electric house, with above ground power lines and 3 people in the house who would not be able to rough it should we face a prolonged power outage.
