[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was so easy to install. Love the controls and how easy to clean after using it. This is out second cooktop.

Good, basic induction cooktop

Works quite well, with good control layout and "burner" sizes. Seems inappropriate to have multiple red bars when the settings only allow three bar increments, the control as not as fine as the visual suggests. A definite improvement would be to sense and report the cooking pan temperature.

Cooktop works efficiently and is very sleek. Looking, the only issue is there always appears to be a cloudy film after cleaning

Exceeds expectations

New to induction cooktops. Have used gas and electric before, but this induction cooktop exceeds my expectations. Water DOES boil within 30 seconds. First time GE owner as Father, Father-in-love, husband, brother, and 2 brothers-in-love all worked for a competitor (whose quality has decreased over the years.) I would recommend this product.

great except timer sound

The timer sound at the end of time isn't loud enough and I haven't been able to figure out how to turn it up.

very picky tolerances on burners

Left front and rear burners are the same wattage and supposed to be identical. However my 8" frypan works on the back burner but not the front. GE says it's the pan. I say it's the tolerances and that the front burner assembly has an issue. If you buy GE, know that some of your induction pans that have worked on inexpensive induction burners for years may not work on this expensive unit, but you will not get resolution from GE. I would not buy GE again.

Stopped Working, Terrible Warrantee Service

We really enjoyed our induction stovetop for two years, but it stopped working over the summer. We thought it would be an easy fix since we had the five year extended warrantee through Lowes. After at least five visits from three different technicians over 2.5 months , Lowes tells us that they will not fix it and will only reimburse us for ~$800 via gift card. Obviously, this is much lower than the price of buying a new cooktop. I'd prefer not to pay an additional $1,500 to replace the cooktop ,...

Good if you get one that’s not defective

First cooktop we received the left rear burner would beep but not come on most of the time. I thought ok, just a minor defect get another one. Replaced with complete new one. SAME EXACT problem. This time I gave technicians a chance to fix problem. They came out looked at it, thought they had a fix came back with new control panel and glass. Did not fix. Threw in towel and sent it back. Otherwise, functionality of the other burners were fine. Took some getting used to timing on new pans and ...

Temperature regulation issues

Terrible when it comes to temperature regulation the dialer is too sensitive so it goes from barely boiling to boiling so hard. The water spits out of the pan Similar issues while trying to sauté veggies it’s either a very low heat or it turns it up so hot that it starts to scorch them. There is no happy medium. It's just too delicate to be in a real kitchen.

I've had induction ranges and cooktops for easily 15 years. Samsung, GE, and Frigidaire. This thing is TOO DELICATE. I've broken two of the glass tops on this. In all my other experience with glass and induction I've never had one break so easily. Spending $2k on a cooktop shouldn't require $750/year in repairs. Totally unacceptable experience.

Awesome cooktop!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used our new induction cooktop for the 1st time. It works great, the induction technology works very fast. We will check configuration but seems to be good. The controls work well. The surface is nice and 4 zones should be enough.
