High dollar and mediocre performance

For the price this cooktop is sub-par. The "auto-size" won't go very small on the large element and does not seem to size up to the edges of the smaller elements. The heating is quite uneven. All elements have a hot spot in one area and don't heat at the center or the edges of the pan well. The digital controls are a little tedious to use. The unit is quite noisy when the elements are at level 7 or above.

Fast & Efficient

We went from a gas range to this Cafe Induction cooktop and really like the switch. It's as fast, if not faster, than gas and much safer!

Not bad

Works to my expectations of induction, but slightly annoying in that small pots that don’t fit the burner don’t work, and the touch surface is constantly turning on with any contact with metal, flesh etc.

Great Stovetop Overall

I've loved the GE Profile since it was installed. It was a big relief to finally get rid of the dangerous, hard to clean gas stovetop. The induction stovetop could use a couple of improvements, however. Good points: Fast, easy to use, easy to clean, versatile. Needs Improvement: a harder service to better avoid scratches and the inclusion of some way to display the temperature at the burner level.

Quick and Precise

This indiction cooktops quick and precise in its heating. It is easy to clean and a pleasure to cook with.

Can not heat two pots side by side

If you want to use two burners side by side, it refuses to connect. I am trying to use the smallest burner to cook some rice while at the same time use the biggest burner for a frying pan. They work great individually, but as soon as I turn on the big frying pan it overpowers the small burner and it stops connecting to the pot and just turns off. Induction convert

We have had our induction unit 1 day. Instant boil for pasta, perfect French toast and fried eggs. Clean up is a breeze. We were gas die-hards, but I wanted the greener, more health conscious, fire-free option with my kids learning to cook and an easy clean up for me with our kitchen remodel. I’m impressed. My husband wanted to be able to still use our cast-iron pans which we used this morning. Worked like a charm. I guess we are team induction now.

Love induction but...

Love cooking with induction. Had a GE profile for 11 years and it went out so got another one recently. I miss the half steps on the settings. I hate the timer requiring the start button. One of the burners only works part of the time no matter what size pot I use. Unit looks good.

Love the induction cooktop.

Great induction cooktop. All the cooking features I wanted as well as the lock since we have cats that might walk over the controls.

Cooktop does not work as described.

The cooktop does not work as described in the associated literature. As an example, the guide says a minimum 4.5" pan size is needed for the small burner....I'm using a 5" pan and it won't hook up. The medium burner says 5" pan required, I use a 5.5" pan and it doesn't connect. Service has been scheduled multiple times and no one ever shows up.

Love it so much, bought it twice

Custom built a house two years ago and put in all GE Profile appliances including this model induction cooktop. Moved out of state a year later and just completed renovation of current older home. Put in all the same GE Profile appliances again because of quality, features, and performance.

It lives up to its reputation

I love its speed in heating up and boiling water. It's very easy to keep clean. My only issue so far is that it won't allow a few pots that are marked for induction.

Just bought for our second home!

We now own two of these and they are fantastic. Induction, especially in warm climates is the only way to go!

Nice cooktop

If you have room for the larger 5 burner get it. Had that model in our last house. New house didn't have the space. Pans are too crowded if you do a lot of cooking.

Hubs are midsized for best use

I have yet to find a pot that works on the largest hub. Smaller pots are useless as the hub rings are singular. When using two larger pots on the smaller hubs it makes it impossible to use the third smaller hub.

Heats up fast!

Our pan heat up and seconds! Stove looks good and works well. We are happy.
