TERRIBLE COOKTOP
THIS IS A TERRIBLE COOKTOP. Burners don't work. Service is poor and pots that meet the minimum requirements for the cooktop don't work on it. I WOULD NEVER BUY THIS COOKTOP. Our induction cookware worked on two other induction cooktops with no problem, BUT NOT ON THE GE PROFILE INDUCTION COOKTOP.

Installation hardware
The alternate installation kit WB01x24570 should be included in the original packaging. When you discover you need it, you have to wait for it to be shipped. Otherwise installation was easy.

Steer clear
Would Not RecommendI am extremely dissatisfied with this unit. After multiple repairs, the unit is very unreliable. It seems that without full coverage of a pad, the unit simply does not sense the presence of the pot or pan and will not activate that pad. This has lead to extreme frustration when cooking having to use oversized pots and make sure everything is properly positioned to make this work. I don't know if this is an induction issue or if this unit is simply poorly engineered. I would NEVER buy this p...

Easy Peasy
Would RecommendMy wife and I love cooking on our new GE induction stove. We are amazed at how fast water boils and how easy the cleanup is for our new stove. One great feature is that the stove actually turns off by itself once you take a pot off of the burner! You can even place paper towels underneath a pan while it is cooking to save cleanup once you're done.

Believe what you hear about induction
Would RecommendOn the recommend of a friend I have been looking for a way to try induction technology. I found a closeout GE Profile cooktop just as I moved into a rental and replaced the radiant cooktop with induction. JUST WOW. It is so fast and easy to use. Intuitive controls and even a built-in timer. My wife just used it to do canning and it took a while but it boiled a 4gallon pot of water. Frying and saute are faster than gas and you can put a paper towell between the cooktop and pan and have no s...

Size of 2 medium burners
Would Not RecommendWe got the 4 burner induction stove top…30 inches. We bought a new set of beautiful Caraway cookware. The 3 quart, 8 inch diameter does not work wi these pans despite it completely covering the burner “circle”. With 2,site visits and a visit from the appliance store technicians, and change in junction box it still does not work. I had a 5 burner stovetop prior to the devastation of Hurricane Ian. It ended up being replaced with the 4 burner (not what I ordered) and I do not like it nearly as muc...

Works wonderfully, scratches to easily.
The cooktop works wonderfully as long as use ferrous based cookware, but of course that is a given with induction. However with almost no effort the polished steel top and bottom trim scratches and the glass cook surface scratches very easily as well.

Nice stovetop, picky with pans to use
I like the looks and layout of this stovetop and it performs well. This is my first induction so I had to buy new pots and pans... a few times. I of course bought induction ready each time but the first two sets did not work (they need a flat bottom). I also got an egg pan that fit the recommended diameter and flat bottom and listed as induction ready, but alas it does not work.

Really enjoying it
Would RecommendHave had it installed for a couple weeks now. Frankly, I have not had a chance to cook on it because my wife loves it so much that she insists on doing the cooking (I'm OK with this).

G.E. Profile with stainless steel
Would RecommendIt cooks great. Cleans up easy. Glad I bought it. All inductions have a little noise to them but you will know that if you read reviews. You don’t have to buy expensive cleaners you can just use dawn dish soap cleans up great. Make sure you read the directions on care before use.

Great cooktop!
Would RecommendLove cooking on induction. Much better than gas or standard electric, faster and more efficient. Looks great in our kitchen. Easy to keep clean. Expensive though and does not last as long in our experience as this is our third induction cooktop. Well worth it though.

Heats up very quickly
Would RecommendThis is my first induction cooktop. I do need to pay attention when I am using it, as it heats up very quickly. The only issue I have is that it is hard to see the in burner outline rings under the pot or pan that I am using since the rings are black on a black top.

Simple and efficient
Would RecommendWe love how this cooktop responds with quick heating, and lowering the temp is just as quick. Such a great improvement over traditional electric cooktops. I have to remind myself how hard gas burners are to clean up when things boil over and I’m complaining about the scraping and polishing that are sometimes required with any glass cooktop. The only thing I would change about this cooktop is that the size of the largest burner seems too large for any pan, and if it were smaller there might be ro...

Miss the 1/2 temperature stops
Previous PHP900 died after winter storm, got closest replacement to fit existing counter top cut. Seems slower to recognize pots/pans than previous cooktop. New cooktop only has whole digit temps (1,2,3,4,etc) does not provide 1/2 steps (1,1.5,2,2.5,3,3.5,etc)
