Awesome!

Just love it! The matte black finish is truly fingerproof and a great feature. Inside? Beautiful and spacious! Love the LED lights which dim on when the door opens. Just a great upgrade. And the ice/water on the door is a great convenience. FILTERED water AND ice? Yoo hoo!

Repurchase similar model

Added door shelving from 2015 model GFE26GGHEWW that compressor froze up on (11 years). Shelving inside had less configuration options from previous model, but the slide shelf was a nice addition. Hopefully the large door shelves hold up better than previous model which were fragile. Lighting is also different, previous led lights were good, these seem good too. No turbo Freeze, only turbo cool.

Great features but problem with leveling and noise

I had this delivered about a week ago. I love the looks, the ease of everything, the ice cubes are great and the water is nice and cold. Temperature settings work great. Lighting is exceptional. I love the white color. The only problem I have is the noise and the installers could not level the refrigerator. And yes, my floor IS level. I can hear the noise 3 rooms away. Unfortunately, this will have to be replaced as the service guys could not level it and I'm not putting shims on one si...

Some not great features

. It keeps everything cold however, the parts that don’t work well are a huge hindrance. First off. You cannot see the screen at all. You also cannot fit a water bottle in the water dispenser and the freezer will be left open and the alarm will not sound causing products in the freezer to go bad.

A few drawbacks

The ice/water dispenser opening is too short for water bottles - you can't fill a water bottle with ice without having ice slide out the sides and onto the floor. The freezer drawer always opens with the freezer too, which I didn't realize when I bought it - that is inconvenient. And there is a loud, constant humming noise that our previous unit didn't have.

Performance

I am giving this appliance a rating based on our previous purchase. We had virtually the same refrigerator before this one. We purchased that one in 2022 and it only lasted 3 plus years before it failed. We are hoping this one lasts a lot longer.

We ordered the exact same model that we had had for 12+ years, but it doesn't seem to have the same capacity, despite the specs saying it does. It is slightly smaller inside, with rather poorly designed little shelves on the left door --- so narrow that they can only hold very thin bottles of condiments. The adjustable shelving in the main part of the refrigerator is also poorly designed, with only two ways to adjust the shelves vertically. Cartons of milk or juice, for example, do not fit we...
