Wore down very quickly. Ended up getting a metal wire disk. This lasted maybe 3-4 mins

Works well, but doesn't last long

I used this to remove the paint and rust from my mower deck before repainting. It lasted all of 10 minutes before it was worn down to the point of being unuseable. It did a great job removing paint and rust, just didn't even last long enough to finish the job. Had to pull out the wire wheels to finish.

Gator? No. slamander? maybe

Terrible. Lasted 30 seconds on my angle grinder. Waste of $10

Used for metal stripping

Used this disk to strip old paint and remove rust from a metal trailer I was restoring. The disk works very well removing paint. It works a small area at a time, but with patience quite a bit can be accomplished in not too much time. The disk packaging states it also removes rust. I felt it fell short in this area. It will remove light surface rust, but if any of the metal is slightly pitted it will not remove all the rust. The disk doesn't really have the ability to cut down into the meta...

Didn’t last

I needed this to strip the paint from 4x4 posts, 7 total. This disc did a decent job but it completely before conmpleting a single post.

Works great!

I am impressed with these sanding discs. Removes paint easily and quickly. I am prepping an 84 F150 to paint and using this with my grinder is much more efficient than my orbital sander. Allows for great control and excellent coverage. I definitely recommend this product!

Finally!

Working on rust-proofing an old Mustang and used wire wheels and flap discs in an attempt to get to bare metal. Both of these methods worked but were very slow. This Gator paint stripping disc works wonders! I moved through more old paint and rust in an hour than I did in 8 hours with flap discs or wire wheels. I've used this Gator disc for 4 full panels and haven't wore it out yet. Despite how unflexable this disc feels like it does get into depressed areas.

Works great!

Used this stripping disc on a 100+ year old pine door with at least 4 coats of paint (last coat applied sometime in the 1970s). Worked better than any chemical stripper I have ever used. Needed 1 disc per side to complete the job. Left the wood fairly smooth so that a quick pass with 200 grit on the orbital sander had the door ready for primer.

Works almost too good

I have been hand sanding paint off our fireplace. A long and exhausting task. I bought a grinder and this pad and i was able to get done more in ten minutes than i did by hand in a month. The only reason i gave it 4 stars was because I wish the sanding pad was a little bit thicker. Other than that it worked amazing.

Works good

Works really well for removing paint, creates a lot of dust though. Wears much faster then similar size drill mount disks but does the job much faster

No joke!

This thing is no joke, it WILL remove everything you want it too, took the paint off my concrete like it was butter!

Toooo course

This sanding disc is way tp course for removing paint. When used it plugs up quickly.

Angle grinder blade

Bought this to help strip paint from deck chairs. Made the job a lot easier. Price was more than harbor freight tools but it was a closer drive.

Gator is by far the best!

I’ve tried three different brands of these on my last project and the Gator one lasted the longest by far!! At roughly $10 a pop, these last 1.5 times longer than the other brands at the similar pricing..
