if you like wasting time and being aggravated then then buy this product the backing on the top side is impossible to remove. Lowes should take this off the shelves and throw it in the garbage where it belongs

Works well as a patching material

I bought this to patch a portion of my roof where 2 other parts of the roof would drain into. It was easy to apply and flexible to cut and fit into grooves on the roof. Used some Flex Paint to seal the edges where the roof met it.

I used this product for the first time on a roof replacement and I must say that the application was went very smooth. I will apply GAF Weatherwatch on ALL future roof jobs.

Glue your edges

Good product but edges are coming up of metal drip edge. No leaks so far

This product is exactly what I needed to reinforce a wooden foundation and protect it from the elements!

Ice & water underlayment

The roof underlayment layed down very easy. Was a bit sticky when handling it...a little easier to have two people working it.

Product needs improvement!

Major complaint and "a big one" as follows: Removing the thin plastic from the narrow upside (top) adhesive strip comes off in little pieces instead of all together making the project extra time consuming, messy and was not able to get all the plastic off. Manufacturer should use the same plastic material that is used on the entire bottom of product. Not sure why or what the reason the maker of this product would use such a low quality thin plastic that literally breaks apart when trying to r...

Serves i'ts purpose

It was easy to install/put down (with 2 people). Grit was a bit excessive on the top side as when you flip it over the grit fell out. Adhesive was really strong and bonded well to the surface.

Great asphalt rolled roofing.

Well made adhesive rolled asphalt roofing. Sticks to dry surfaces and even more so to itself!

Do not buy until they change it.

This product will work well as intended and is not bad to install, however its dangerously slippery on anything over a 3 pitch. As a very experienced roofer, I would never recommend, or ever again use, this product. If they change its surface to be safe I might try it again, but until it changes please dont buy it, its scary slippery.

Best stuff

If assurance of no leakage is what you want, this is probably the best roofing underlayment available. Sticks and molds to everything!

Does the job

This product is not the easiest to work with especially by yourself. Need to have a minimum of two people to adequately place this underlayment down. It is also very slippery and is easily mared when walking on it when it gets hot on the roof. The backing is extremely sticky, so it is difficult to reposition once it is placed down. It does do the job, but there are better water and ice underlayments on the market that are easier to work with.

Used around penetrations on the roof around chimney ivalleys plumbing boots vents and works great
