I believe the interior layout, especially the door shelving has improved the spacious interior which includes an ice maker. Would Not RecommendWe bought a Frigidaire Professional in April of 2025. After only a few months we started having problems. The water filter would not come out so we could replace. Even the repairman couldn't get it out and had to disassemble it and replace the water filter housing. Then both ice machines quit working. There is a fan in the left side wall that periodically sounds like a turbo prop plane taking off. The refrigerator we replaced, after 15+ years, was a Frigidaire Professional side-by-side. Both my wife and I love the French door style. Everything is within reach when you open the door. I actually put a thermometer in the refrigerator and the temperature is what was set. Also the "Professional" has very stylish handles.

Minimal instructions on how to turn off the ice makers independently but it is possible. It is noisy at times but then absolutely silent at other times. It holds a steady temperature. While it is smaller than our last fridge, it seems to have lots of good door space and organization.
