THIS IS BEST SMALL HATCHET/TOOL POSSIBLE
Would RecommendEXCELLENT SIZE,WEIGHT,CUTTING HEAD
Hi Bill - thank you so much for your wonderful feedback!
Worth the investment
Would RecommendThis was purchased as my son’s first hatchet. It cuts well, and held its edge well. I better grip on the handle would make this a five star solution for his needs and mine. Yes, I’ve already borrowed his hatchet when the job called for more than a machete, but I didn’t want to break out an axe.
Thank you, Ken S. We value the positive review and are happy you enjoy your Forged Steel Hatchet with 10-in Composite Handle.
Very good quality
Would RecommendThe blade is sharp and works very well, but the weight balance of this product is not good for one hand use.

Best AXE for everyday use (for me). X5 and X7
Would RecommendBest AXE for everyday use (for me). I have the X5 and the X7. And yes overall the X7 is the best, because has the bigger handle.

bad product
very bad quality. used it to chop down bushes and the edge ended up chipped/rolled after about 4 2" stems of soft green wood.

This hatchet is scary sharp.
Would RecommendThis hatchet is very, very sharp. It instills fear when you hold it, because if you're not careful you will absolutely injure yourself. The handle is firm and sturdy. Comes with a locking sheath which is a great feature. Able to hang it in a safe elevated position from either sheath or handle. Costs a bit more than traditional hatchets, but so far I'm very pleased.

Well worth it
Would RecommendThis is a perfectly weighted hatchet and really does the job. Blade is sharp enough to cut through even the densest of limbs…err, tree limbs… and such. And with previous purchases, I was always worried about leaving traces of the job behind, but not so with this product. Cleanup’s a breeze! Simply submerge it in bleach for an hour or two, and it’s like yesterday never happened.

Won't Even Split a Soft Pine Log!!
Would Not RecommendI purchased this item because I have an identical one that I purchased several years ago. I am extremely happy with the one that I've been using for years. Today, I tried to use the one I just purchase online and it is so dull that it won't even split a soft pine log. When I tried to submit an online Customer Service request to Fiskers Brands, Inc., the website would not accept my info and errored out. Totally dissatisfied!!!

Making Kindling
Would RecommendI purchased this item to complement my larger wood splitting equipment. Easy to use to make smaller kindling from my wood. Also convenient to chop small things. One should resist holding the lumber to split, which is more possible with a smaller tool such as this.
