What Customers Are Saying

The aluminum siding nails have mixed reviews. Some customers found them suitable for their projects, reporting they "worked well." However, many others experienced issues with the nails bending or breaking, especially when trying to use them on harder materials like plywood or OSB. The nail heads also tend to rip off during removal. While the nails may be adequate for softer materials like vinyl siding, they are not recommended for denser or hardened wood surfaces. Customers suggest using a different type of nail, such as roofing nails, instead.

These nails are garbage

Would Not Recommend

These are the worst nails I have ever used. The head bends over half the time when you try to drive the nail in, or if you try to pull a nail back out, every single time. The nails would bend in the middle while driving them in at least half of the time. I used thirty of them and wasted so much time dealing with the nails, I went to the store to buy different ones. I made up the drive time within an hour by not having to deal with bent nails so much with the different brand. I will be returning...

Too weak

Would Not Recommend

These were too frail for my wood. They just bent over. Maybe my wood is extra tough, but nails should go through it.

Soft nails bend easily. Better be almost perfect.

Would Not Recommend

These work. Being aluminum, they won't rust and stain the siding. But being aluminum, they are very, very soft. Even when I hit the nails carefully, dead-center, if they ran into any obstruction, even a knot in the wood, they would bend and I ended up throwing away 30% of the nails. Good think I had some 60-year old good quality galvanized roofing nails saved from removing the old tar-paper shingle type siding from corners and other locations. Those nails had been exposed to weather for 60 ...

Mixed results.

Theyre aluminum- and they will work in optimal conditions (for the nail not the carpenter). If youre nailing into something like 1/2" OSB and hit the nail square they do fine. However anything more dense like 2x4 material thats had a couple decades to harden up or if the house has the old t&g boards behind the new sheathing forget it. I've searched multiple suppliers across the internet- seems no one makes or carries a sturdy aluminum siding nail. Id steer clear of these unless its a new house ...

Bends easily

Does not go in straight without bending. If you try to remove the nail, the head rips off like a pop can tab.
