Cuts like a gas saw
Would RecommendI was worried that this would be too weak to cut through a thick 12 inch tree compared to a comparable gas 20 inch. It did a great job even on the low setting. Very impressed so far.

Almost the best chainsaw I ever had.
It was working great until the drive sprocket fell out during operation. It was hopelessly lost in some dense brush on only the fourth day of use and after first chain replacement.

Super productscotchman
Would RecommendI have 3 gas chain saws, but seeing the advantages of my other Ego products, trimmer, edger, blower and mower I wanted to see if that part of my yard maintenance could benefit as well. It exceeded my expectations. Easy to use, powerful, less noise and no gas mixed with oil anymore. I can now put all my power yard tools in the back of my SUV and no gas smell.

Excellent engineering
Would RecommendThis saw handles very nicely and is very comparable in performance to the best gas saws I was used to. I don't miss at all the idling, exhaust, noise, grease, and fuel mixing aspects of the gas systems, and the expensive battery is worth it so far.

The World's First Crew-Served Chainsaw
Would Not RecommendThis is the third different brand of chainsaw I have owned. It cuts like a champion (the first time you use it at least), but it is FAR AND AWAY the most difficult saw to reassemble after cleaning. Actually, I never got it back together. The chain drive housing literally would not go back on. The chain itself twists if you look at it funny, and, unlike my other two saws, untwisting this chain is basically impossible. Whatever you do, DO NOT buy this saw unless you are really rich and can af...

quiet
I like most everything about this saw. What has come in very handy is the fact I can rise at 6am and cut up fallen trees without waking my neighbors. No mixing fuel is another plus along with no starting problems. I know there won't be any rotted gas lines at the end of the year. It is heavy and a little light on power.
