What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this electric chainsaw for exceptional cutting power, quiet operation, and battery performance. Most highlight that it matches or exceeds gas-powered models while eliminating fuel maintenance and starting struggles. Reviewers consistently note impressive cutting ability, with many describing it as cutting through wood effortlessly and felling medium-sized trees on a single charge. Battery longevity stands out, with customers reporting enough power for substantial jobs before recharging. The cordless convenience, instant start-up, and reduced noise are frequently cited as major advantages over gas engines. Users find it well-balanced and easy to handle. A few mention minor chain tensioning issues or note the battery adds weight, but most consider these drawbacks negligible compared to overall performance and convenience benefits.

OK, but ECHO is better.
Would Not RecommendThought I'd give Ego a try. This saw does ok, but does not perform as well as my ECHO DCS-5000 that I've had for 2 years now. The ECHO has longer run time and seems to have more power thru the cut.

Excellent Product!
Would RecommendThe EGO 18" chainsaw exceeded my expectations. I really put it to the test cutting more than two (2) chords of logs over several days, some 16" in diameter. The saw cut everything without hesitation as long as I kept the chain sharp. The only limitation I encountered is the relatively low battery life. So, I bought an extra, after market battery, since an EGO battery cost almost as much as the saw and battery combination.

Hot knife through butter
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this chainsaw as a review unit and to say im impressed is an understatement. I put it to work cleaning up some heavily overgrown dogwood trees in my front yard and the cutting power on this thing is crazy. It felt like a hot knife going through soft butter. I don’t have much experience with chainsaws but I would assume this Ego is on par with gasoline units in terms of cutting power and it works just like you would expect a chainsaw ...

Not As Strong Advertised
Would Not RecommendThe advertisement for this 1810 chainsaw will tell you it’s more powerful when in fact Ego changed the gearing and added a torque limit. So don’t think it’s better because it’s less powerful. Which is too bad because I’ve had plenty of Ego tools and they are mostly good.

Impressive performance
Would RecommendI also have a Greenworks and a gasoline powered chain saw. I recently had a large maple get blown down. Well, the gasoline saw wouldn't start. (It hadn't been used in over a year and I had let it sit with gas in the tank.) The Greenworks worked, but is much slower cutting. (The chain was sharp.) I normally used the Greenworks for light duty work because it is so much quieter and lighter. After four recharges, taking a few hours each time, on the battery I still hadn't finished bucking the tree i...
