Would RecommendMy new HVAC systems came with ecobee lite thermostats. I immediately ordered the Sensor 2 pack to control rooms in the house that were not close to the thermostats. Now those rooms stay at the temps I want them to be.

Small size and versatile sensors
Would RecommendThese sensors are small and work well. I give only 4 stars because the range isn't the best. I have a sensor about 15-20 feet away that goes in and out of connection at least once a day. If that didn't happen, I would give it a 5

The reinvention of the t-stat
Would RecommendThis is why ecobee is great. These sensors allow you to completely change your HVAC system with very little money. Most T-stats are not placed properly in home and make the home suffer with warm or cold spots. They sensors have allowed people with "tune" their home with opening closing vent to get the desired comfort they need. In the past costly duct work or dampers needed to be added and wired to gain the same effect. All other smart tstat are just following the leader now.

Sensors for every room
Would RecommendI purchased two separate Ecobee thermostats and 3 additional (2 sensors in each pack) packs of sensors. I have sensors that can help control the temperature for different times of the day - e.g., keep the kids room warm at night. This has been the most important feature for me over the numerous other smart thermostats out there. Plus these sensors are small and cute and I rarely have to ever change the batteries.

Would RecommendSuper easy to setup. I bought the lite version with no sensors since it was covered under a utility rebate, the sensors are what make make the magic work. Invest in enough to monitor your home for comfort and energy savings. Admittedly, they are expensive; we all know the real cost is far less and that these are a profit center for Ecobee. That is why I rated value 3 stars. The benefits are in comfort and energy savings (direct result of sensor).
