Ratings & Reviews for DuroStar 13000 Starting / 10500 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Nice unit.

Well packaged, and easy to set up! Started right up on propane. Haven't used as a generator as of yet, just doing the recommended break-in. Has not missed a beat. going on 5 hours, 3 to go.

Greatest buying experience

I bought this generator and am very pleased with that process and delivery , ease of unboxing & setup . Instructions were simple ,easy to follow . I have not started it yet hence or used it this is why only 4 stars - hope to never use but am excited to have what I believe will be a reliable product!

I fueled up the generator and ran it for a few minutes. Everything seems good to me. Am going to have it hooked up to my panel box soon. I'll know more at a later date. Thanks.

Strong Generator

Generator pickup at store was flawless. Put generator together at my cabin and it fired up immediately on propane. Still in the break in mode and everything works as anticipated, no complaints!

Love the push to start and the remote start

Delivered a week ago, went through all the test and everything checked out well. Haven’t actually needed it as it’s a stand by unit due to loosing power pretty often. Very happy with the build and quality as. Retired auto tech seems like a nice unit.

malfunction

got generator to power food truck. the second day using it the carbon sensor kept shutting the unit down, but the unit is mounted outside of the trailer. then later it would start for 3 seconds and shut down if it even start at all. very disappointing. this is the reason you buy new.

Just great

Super deal and it is the nicest generator I've ever had, very powerful. FYI... I am an electrician

Great features

Very nice generator I love it has all the features comes with kerosene cord electric box I bought separately looking forward to using this machine

Looking forward to it

I have not set up the generator to my house yet. My grandson has 3 beautiful fish tanks that I want to protect. As well as lights my fridge and air fryer in case power goes out.

Quality unit

Performs very well Easy start and setup. Smooth operation

Poorly engineered

After operation of over 1hr it still pops fuses producing 4000 watts on the 110 outlets. Really thinking of returning it.

Good emergency power source.

Runs well and starts easy but has a lot of unnecessary redundancy in the electronics.

Perfect for our generator needs

We purchased this product in July of 2025 and have not been disappointed. My husband tests it once per month, because that's who he is and we're very happy with the performance. Prior to this we had a very small generator which got us by, but we still had to do without some key items in our life. I have health problems so heat and humidity can be a problem for me. With this generator we can run everything we need including our AC. We are located in SC where the hurricane caused damage and power ...
