After following the set-up instructions, it started on the first pull! The unit is well designed. However, the instruction manual needs some improvements: 1. The access panel to get to the oil fill was almost impossible to remove. I had to call customer service to learn how to do it. I added two "<< Pry here" labels to the appropriate locations. 2. A battery is mentioned but I don't think that there is one on this model. On the big red "STOP" tag, the oil quantity is incorrect.

Mixed opinion
Would RecommendBought it because of the dual fuel. When it arrived I filled it with oil and pulled the recoil once to checked that it wasn't stuck but didn't put fuel in it. It sat for 2 years, when a hurricane approached I decided to do a break in run, but the recoil wouldn't rewind properly. I took 5 minutes to rewind. I could get it started on propane. Once I put in efree gas it started on 2nd pull. It's quiet, very portable, and sips gas. I do like it but I haven't dealt with the issues yet.

Great inverter generator
nice generator, starts easy, runs smooth nice controls, clean power, just an all around great invertor. One issue though, we have problems with the propane regulator, it is not adjustable and we have to play with it to get the gen set to run correctly, we think it sends too much pressure on initial start.
