Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax HX 500cc Electric Start Home Power Back Up 13000 Starting / 10500 Running Watt Gas and Propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

nice, but damaged

nice unit. bought for ease of use. dents on one end that is the venting for the generator portion.

Power and reliability!

This is the second Generator I have purchased for our Mobile Sharpening business. Our mobile van is a complete workshop on wheels. This generator has plenty of power to meet our needs, on a normal day the generator supplies power to a roof top air conditioner, an air compressor, air filtration system, grinders and sharpening machines. This machine lives outside and has never disappointed.

Nice machine

I am still in the break in period, but I can say that assembly was very easy and well explained. The owner manuals are clear and detailed, and DuroMMax online help is very responsive for any questions. I added the heavy-duty weather cover and find it fits well and appears to be a long-lasting, quality cover. I plan to add a running tent soon. I haven't connected the generator to my home yet, but so far, I am very pleased with it.

Great but CO2 sensor is TOO Sensitive

I’ve had this machine for about a month and a half. I use it as a portable generator for my food trailer. Pro: Lots of power, not as loud as I thought it would be. Cons, CO2 sensor is FAR too sensitive. Even in an open area if there is no breeze the CO2 sensor will trigger shut down. I have to set up a strong fan to blow exhaust away in order to keep it running.

Great features easy to maneuver think it’ll work o

Generator arrived early unpackaged, and the nuts for the axles were missing so I had to go purchase those other than that. It was an easy assembly and everything worked like it should. I’m very satisfied with it.

Great machine but….

I like everything about the machine except for 2 things. #1 the CO2 sensor is far too sensitive. It will turn the machine off when it is in an open area but there is no wind..I have to set up a fan to blow across the machine in order to not trip the CO2 sensor. #2 the handles for moving in around are not sturdy and easily bend near the welded hinges. I see.them breaking over time.

Runs my whole house

Used during several times to run my whole house. Worked great

Easy setup.

We recently bought our new generator because it's dual fuel and electric start. We chose to start it the first time with gas in the tank. It started up with no problem. We haven't put it to use yet but we are very happy with it so far. The instructions that came with it are very easy to understand and contain very clear pictures.

Right generator for the right price!

I looked at many different generators before I settled on the duromax 1300. The trifuel interested me and the entire unit was well built and easy to operate. The noise level was much lower then I had expected. Overall it was an excellent buy.

Awesome product

I bought over a month ago and just a great generator

Look, it is simple. Your wife worries about.....

Living in Florida now for 20 years and having been "visited" by several hurricanes (three in 2024), my wife worries about losing power because we do, and all too often. I wanted something that was reasonable, easy to maintain, and just worked. Hence, my DuroMax allows us not to worry every time a strong wind blows. Do yourself and your family a favor. Give them peace and the knowledge that everything will be alright, eventually.

Runs great

Had a problem the second time I tried to start it. The problem was resolved quickly. Runs and starts fantastically ever since

Completely satisfied

Great generator at a great price. Very happy with this purchase and Duromax as a company. Would recommend!

Easy to operate

Last time power went out it took approximately 5 minutes to start generator. Started easy. Worked flawlessly the 12 hours power was out after a storm.

Great generators had a great price

Have a few power outages where I live so I decided to get a generator this works perfect for my 38 ft fifth wheel with two 13500 BTU AC units microwave etc all the other electrical couldn't ask for a better product running on propane no problems at all.

Just a great generator

Bought this 2 years ago an it's the best thing I ever did. The electric start is a godsend Had my propane guy plum a long flex hose so I could use with my 100 gal. tank as well as gas.

AN EVERYDAY BEAST!

We bought a XP13000HX and put in service 60 days ago. It has been running hard, 60 hrs per week, ever since - without a single hiccup. Change the plug and oil every week - run it hard - it just keeps running.

Top quality generator

I purchased the 13000 watt dual fuel because I don’t have access to natural gas. I have run my generator on both gas and propane and it runs extremely smooth. While not as quiet as an inverter the sound is not bad at all. Great generator for the money and I’m not limited to a generator that is installed and not portable.
