Ratings & Reviews for DuroMax 457cc Electric Start Home Power Back Up 12000 Starting / 9500 Running Watt Gasoline, Liquid propane Dual fuel Portable Generator

Dead On Arrival

Lowe's sold me a dead on arrival DuroMax generator and won't replace or give refund! Buyer Beware!

Easy instructions

Received as scheduled and instructions to assemble were clearly marked. After assembly, the unit quickly started up (used propane) and sounded good. Now covered up and stored for any emergency.

Great option for the price

We bought the new Duramax as a backup for our 16 yr old Powermax which was a gas only unit. We have had great performance out of our old unit over the years during the many hurricanes we have had in central Florida. We decided to go with the duel fuel option this time, propane last longer for storage along with running cleaner. For the price point I don’t think you can beat these generators.

Great Features ! Best Value!

I have only test ran this so far. Spent a few weeks researching . This Duromax XP12000DX has all the features I could possibly want and a 5 year warranty. All at a very attractive price point.

Its new but good so far

Easy assembly and looks like very good quality. I took plenty of time checking all the steps but it took some time to get it started the first time. Like so long I was afraid the battery would run down or the starter would fail. I finally switched the IDLE to the opposite what the start up procedure stated, and the generator fired right up. The next day I tested it and it started right up with the IDLE switch in the opposite position. So who knows? At this point it runs great and I've teste...

New Purchase

Just received it yesterday. Shipping was quick and was in excellent condition, no damage from shipping. Great instructions, easy to assemble. Started right up after adding the oil and connecting to propane tank. Purchased for the dual fuel but will primarily use propane. Using for whole house in case of a power outage. Replacing small unit.

My education on fuel ⛽️

I bought this 1-1/2 years ago and I love it. Only one thing, it has way more power running 93 octane Fuel ⛽️ rather than propane. I had a 250 gal propane tank installed and discovered it will only run half of the things in my house. I installed a 50 amp service for my generator that will back feed my whole house, to my disappointment it will only run half my house, a friend of mine told me to put 93 octane fuel in it, I did and W O W what a difference, this thing runs my whole house with no trou...

Easy to assemble, put in oil and started right up

After running 10 min, put the whole house load on it, ran great

Great easy to operate unit.

My wife and I bought this after Ian because we weren’t getting stuck with out power next time. The duel fuel gives us options instead of waiting in long line for gas. Love it already.

Good for the price

I just had the Generator delivered a few days ago and easy to put everything together, I haven't started the Generator yet. But once i get to start it i will leave another review. I Have just been really busy since i got the Generator.
