Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT 12-in 15-Amp Dual Bevel Compound Corded Miter Saw

Cuts Clean; Works great

Have been using it to cut baseboards in house. Only negative (and it's minor) is the dust collection not fantastic. Doesn't really get much in the bag.

Cuts Like Butter

I’ve only been using this particular saw for a week now and so far I love it. I can always rely on DeWalt for making a quality product and they are usually my go to brand. We just purchased a home that is requiring tons of updates and minor remodeling and my only second guess is whether or not I should have bought a sliding miter saw. I have numerous closet shelves that need to be replaced and will have to put my skills to the test with flipping the board. I will update my review with my thought...

Replacement parts

Anyone know where to buy replacement parts? I stripped a torx screw trying to change the blade.

Very Good Miter saw.

Very accurate saw. If you want close fitting miters, this saw is for you.

Incorrect description

Description says this comes with “ Integrated Cutline LED work light system provides adjustment-free cut line indication for accuracy and visibility”. This is not true. This wasn’t a feature on this saw and the one feature I actually wanted, which is why I bought it. Disappointed.

First Dewalt Miter, and Its a Pro

Initially I thought I wanted the 780 slider just for use around house on projects. The footprint on it was way to big even though it looks like a killer saw. Decided to go with the 716 12 inch. Its perfect out of box no calibrating needed. Was able to practice cut accurate slices on a 1x4 at about 1/8 inch thickness which is amazing. Already built shelving for pantry in new house so mrs is happy too! This is a top notch miter, and cant wait for the next project.

Surprisingly Good Dust Collection

I was looking for a saw to replace my old Craftsman sliding compound. My main criteria were accuracy, dust collection, and size. This saw checks all of those boxes for a really good price. I rarely cut anything larger than a 2x8 so I really don't need to sacrifice space and dust collection for a sliding saw. I'd recommend this to anyone.

Great saw

Clean sharp cuts

Great saw

Great saw!! Back to making sawdust again. Good price. Great ship. Doug R

Great Saw

Love that the fence is locked in at 90 degrees. They built it so the fence is screwed in place and never needs adjusted. My previous miter saw was hard to get set at 90 and the fece would eventually move a bit on me. Adjusting the saw angles is so easy with the included wrench. Once you’ve set the angle of the blade at 90 and 45 you’ll never have to do it again. I do very detailed work and need my angles perfect and they made it a breeze to do. Saw has plenty of power. Just buy it, you wont regr...

gift for Son-in-law

My son-in-law was over the moon with the saw. He love it was a dual bevel and all the other things. He said it was perfect!

Just makes life easier

My wife bought me this as a holiday gift this past December. As I am approaching retirement, the project list keeps expanding. This makes things a lot easier and I can count on the cuts being clean and accurate.

Dependable Saw!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this saw now for a number of years and have used it for remodeling apartments, homes and decks. I also use it for hobby woodworking like doll houses, wooden toddler riding airplane, etc. It works great for all! I added the laser guide light which is great after you get it aligned properly. All in all, its worth every penny!!

First timer

Amazing Saw

Best saw I've ever used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wife and kids bought me this for my bday. I've used several other brands and styles and hands down most versatile saw I have had the pleasure of using. Nice wide angle cuts, smooth draw and lots of power. Added the mitre saw stand too, where has this been my whole life! Thanks Dewalt, forever a Dewalt man.

Beast

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this saw a month ago and haven’t regretted it for a second. If you’re considering purchasing one, consider no more. This is the saw you want. This is the saw you need. It’s a beast. I used it to build a shed in my yard. Cuts were clean and sharp. Cuts through a 2x4 no problem. Good to go right out of the box. Highly recommend.

Workhorse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this miter saw a couple of months and I’ve used this saw more than any other I own. Easy to use and adjust. Accurate cuts. Very happy with it

Saw runs smoother with less vibrations.

True work horse

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this saw 3 months ago to replace my 30 year old Makita, I wish I didn't wait so long. This has been a true work horse, after checking for square which it was straight out of the box. I have used and abused this saw almost every day and it's a great performer. Add the mobile stand and you've got a winning combo.
