Don't like it, haven't even used saw, yet

Received this as a gift. It doesn't come with a rip fence. Instruction manual doesn't provide p/n for fence. Refers me to the website. Website asks to sign-up for DeWalt mailing list. No way to close the dialog box. Submit false e-mail and name to proceed. FAQ on rip fence refers me to p. 12 of users manual, which has no info on rip fence!

Great circ saw

Best circular saw I’ve owned. Solid shoe, thrust angle of the handle seems solidly behind the blade, quick blade brake.

Great Dewalt saw

Dewalt makes great saws, this one is no exception. The model with the electric brake might be worth the extra money, but if this is what's in your budget you'll be very happy with it.

Precision cut!!

This saw slices through wood like butter! The keychuck connects to the saw which is good. There are numerous settings unit too, I just wish they had thought to put a built in light on it though.

Can It Cut Straight?

Wish I could get a DeWalt rep to help me decide the mystery of cutting a straight line. Only reason I bought it it was that I couldn’t find a decent 7” blade for my old Craftsman saw.

Great Saw

This was a great purchase. I am new to this entire home improvement thing and this saw just makes it so much easier. It is light and fool prove. Great power and great flexibility to cut different angles. I would recommend this saw to everyone.

perfect circular power saw

I needed a new circular power saw. I was overwhelmed with the many choices at Lowes. One of the service personnel came to my rescue. I learned what I did not need and then he showed me my best choices. I have been very happy with this saw and I don't think I could have made a better choice without the patient help I rec'd. It has just the amount of power I need and has proven to be solid and easy to use.

I love my new saw!

I had been looking for something better than my outdated Craftsman battery operated circular saw. As soon as I plugged it in to try it out, I loved it. All the power that never stops, solid, sturdy construction. So far it’s given me reliable cuts every time. Rips right through maple with ease. No blade wrench

A blade wrench was supposed to be included to install the saw. It wasn't and will have to return. The instructions are poorly written as well.

Bought this for my son to replace his old saw that's worn out .I knew dewalt made good cordless tools but never thought of it when buying corded tools this saw has changed that.it does cost a little more but I am glad I spent the extra this saw is lite weight an very powerful.

Hmmmm.....

I just have no luck with the yellow guys. Bought this and was disappointed. Saw is mis aligned and doesnt cut the line at the 0 mark. The shoe isn't adjustable and the only way to get it there would be to remove the back plate that the blade rests against and send it to a machine shop for milling. the cost of that would be more than the saw so returned for a different brand.

Base plate issues

I purchased the saw to rip plywood and sheet rock for a remodel project. I have tried to exclusively purchase DeWalt because I like the products. I returned the saw after two days for a couple reasons. First, the base plate has no vertical ridge to slide along a fence for cutting plywood, etc. The base continued to slide under the fence and after two ruined cuts I reboxed it and returned it. Second, there is no safety switch to engage before you pull the switch to start cutting. Not a big deal b...
