the ergonomics and the feel of the tool is perfect...........that's about the only good thing. as soon is i started using it, there was a loud screeching noise which i assume was the front bearing or something. after about 4 hours of use the screeching stopped and grease started oozing out of the front of the thing. i kept going, i had a job to finish. after about 8-9 hours i was done and the thing was having a very rough time even cycling. this is the third one i have had, i bought two of the...

great reciprocating saw

This little guy is great. Took down a wall and had to notch some ceiling joists, the combination of compact size and great power is super versatile. I am not a contractor but renovating my house and so far it has been great. The tool less blade change is great and being able to put the blade in 4 different direction is very helpful!

Head Broke

Bought 12/2015 head sheared off 6/5/2016 from general homeowner use. Thinking I should have gotten a Milwaukee. I've got to take it to a service center and work through the repair/replacement process now. I am at a key point in my project. Guess I'll be borrowing my father-in-laws.

Overall a good saw

I bought this saw for a kitchen demo and specifically for cutting wire mesh beneath the plaster. I really like the compact design. I am 5'2 and have a hard time managing the full size saws overhead on ladders. Overall the saw did a great job. My only complaint is that a after about 3 weeks the mechanism that locked in the blade malfunctioned and I could not longer attach the blade. I was able to return the saw to Lowe's. good design lighter than standard

the design is great. lighter than a regular saw. worked great demoing kitchen. has less vibration do to the motor at a angle. my nephew liked using it he is going to get one on his way home. good in the tight spaces

Great quality choice for me.

I have a difficult tree root base to take out, and the compact design makes it easy to fit in the hole around the trunk without having to take out more good grass than needed. Also being able to insert the blade in a horizontal position makes it much easier if I need to far enough below the surface to plant grass, just in case I can't get the total root base out. The 10 Amp power is good because foot wood is much more compact and harder to saw through, and I don't want to burn out my unit. It is...

Great Reciprocating Saw

I am by far an expert at using electric tools, but I found the Dewalt 10 Amp corded reciprocating saw to be very easy to get ready to use and to use in my yard. If I hadn't researched my purchase on line I would have not known that the saw comes without blades. I bought a nice set of wood and metal blades for $30. I enjoy using my saw around the house and yard. I originally wanted a cordless saw, but decided on the corded 10A saw and I haven't been disappointed.

Found this saw I wanted to get from Lowes. This was the first time going threw there web site. Then I found the saw I wanted but there was none in any of the Fresno Lowes stores. I was kinda disappointed. But it showed there was one on a different store out of town. Now here is the great part. Since it was over a $100.00 I got free shipping. Awesome saw extremely lightweight!

I bought this saw for a few different uses, mostly demo. I cut an entire tree down with it. Hardly even got hot and didn't struggle a bit. I bought it for its lightweight and compact size it's at least a pound lighter than the rest. I will be using this saw mostly to cut up old pallets where a battery powered saw will not last. Make sure to buy the instore 1 year replacement warranty for only $15. I can't wait to use it on the next project. I would recommend this saw to anyone.

Perfect Saw For My Projects

I purchased this saw to cut through some old 2" steel drainage conduits. Its compact size was perfect because I was working underneath a house crawl space that was about 24"-30" high. The saw has great power and slice through the conduits like butter. The last time I done this, I used a good hacksaw with a good blade and it took forever to cut through the conduit. Compact / Powerful / Serves its purpose

If you have to cut in a tight spot this is the tool. However it does seem to get stuck quite a bit and immediately transfers all power to your arm so watch what is behind you. Vibrates quite a bit but gets the job done in tight quarters. I would recommend a sharp high quality blade when using this tool. Out in the open it will cut just like any other saws all.
