45 Degree Saws-All

Ever had the need to bend your normal straight motor and trigger layout because of lack of space? Nice piece of equipment. Especially when the normal straight lay out of Dewalts various sizes and power sources of recipricators doesn't fit into the immediate work space. Love it!

DEWALT 12Amp Var Speed Corded Recip Saw

Recently purchased this Dewalt saw to cut some rebar. I've not used a reciprocating saw previously. I chose an electric versus a battery operated saw for a couple of reasons. Most of the saws, whether Dewalt, Hitachi, Porter-Cable, Bosch, etc., with a battery were what I would say are 'bottom' heavy, because the battery fits into the butt of the tool. Compact!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a gift for Christmas last year. I work in construction and it’s perfect when you get in those tight spaces. Plenty of power. Very handy tool.

Great Saw

It’s comfortable to hold. At full speed the saw blades aren’t jumping around all over the place for precision cuts. Versatile blade orientations for different cuts too.

Handy tool

Never had a reciprocating saw so gave it a try cutting out a deck. Saved tons of time, work and wear and tear.

Compact

As I read in another review, it does shake but I will still take the shaking due to how compact the saw is. In addition I like the 4 direction blade options so I don't worry about the saw, I simply move the blade. A wonderful purchase.

Great power

Bought it 3 weeks ago and it hold its own. I have been using to cut tree roots and the power delivered is tremendous. Too bad some one hasn't made a sawzall blade that performs like this electric saw.

Bought the DeWalt DWE357 to replace a 20 year old Craftsman 12a Reciprocating Saw that finally wore out. The DWE357 is much more comfortable to use.

Versatile, powerful and effective!

I bought the DeWalt 12.0 Amp/3000 spm recip saw this weekend and had a large amount of cutting to do in the yard. This included taking out a dead, hardwood tree with 8" trunk. Took the tree down with a 12" pruning blade. Also many overgrown Oleader trees with 2" to 4" trunks. The saw did all the cuts no problem. We just ran out of space to dispose of all the trimmings!

Impressive saw

I purchased this saw to cut both ends of a steel snowplow off. It worked surprisingly well for that task and I am quite impressed. I cut a 1/4" thick plastic barrel in half and the saw buzzed through it very easily. I am happy with Dewalt products in general and especially with their corded products. I appreciate that they are assembled in the USA and that they disclose openly that they use "globally sourced" components. Of course, I wish their components were domestic also but I appreciate...

Great versatility

The ability to orient the blade four different ways helps me cut due to certain obstruction. It’s a great feature..

I used this tool to cut lower control arm bolts out of a Jeep. These are 1/2 in diameter bolts, hardened steel, formerly free floating through a bushing sleeve which when adding it up, ends up being another 1/2 inch of hardened steel. I used the Dewalt 2x bimetal blades, not sure but i think it was 12 TPI may have been up to 17, but no higher than that.
