Saw died on first use!
Just opened the box, absolutely brand new saw, went to make my very first cut on a 2x4 and literally within 30 seconds - smoke came out of the motor and it stopped running. Now when you press the trigger all it does is make a buzzing sound. BRAND NEW and saw is DOA!

Love this saw!
Would RecommendI’ve tried multiple reciprocating saws for our farm and this one really impressed me. Combined a with a great set of dewalt blades I have easily cut any wood, pvc or metal I’ve come across in record time.

One of the best tools DeWalt has produced.
Would RecommendI am a long time fan of DeWalt tools. I have owned a couple of their reciprocating saws over the last 20 years or so. I use them a lot, at work and at home. My second one just started having some wear issues after about 10 years of use, so I decided to get a new one and saw this new angle model. I was reluctant after being so happy with their standard one for so many years but thought I'd give it a try. It has got to be one of the best tools they have ever made. More powerful and easier to handl...

Solid tool so far
Would RecommendCompact size, plenty of power. Used to cut apart a hot tub and handled the job well.

Sawzall, corded
Would RecommendLike more RPMs. We use this almost daily. Our last one began to loosen up, plus the TOP insulation wore out and began to get HOT on my husband's fingers. I DO like these better than the recent Milwaukee sawzall that is longer but not as powerful. My preference is DeWalt tools. I just like them better. We use the orbital, the drill, etc.

Effective Saw
Would RecommendThe unit was very powerful and effective in cutting down an old problematic Florida palmetto tree.

Would RecommendEasy to handle and tough enough for any job I may have. Very happy

Is smaller and will be able to fit on spaces where big ones won’t fit

Great versatility and power
Would RecommendAbsolutely love the size and shape of the saw. Feels great in your hands and It can get where other sawzall’s can’t. I use this saw every day for cutting metal of all sorts. The only thing holding this saw from being the best sawzall on the market is the 12amp motor. Don’t get me wrong It’ll cut anything you need to cut, but slower than the heavy duty 15amp sawzalls out there, and even then it’s marginal. But for the price of 120$ You can’t beat it. Also very reliable, been using every day cut...

Works well
Would RecommendOnly used it on one job, putting in a pull down attic stairwell, but it worked very well. The compact size is especially nice.

Exactly What I Needed!
Would RecommendI bought this saw to cut large underground roots from tree stumps. With a set of pruning blades, this saw cut those very dense hardwood roots like a hot knife through soft butter. At first, I though the compact design might hinder working in tight spaces but it worked better than I thought it would.

Great Tool
Would RecommendBought this to replace an old recipricating saw. Worked great. Like the different blade positions. Only bad thing is the grip causes a blister to form on the thumb (pinches). Could use a better grip.

use correct power cord
Would Recommenddon't forget, this is 12 amp. you need a powerful power cord or you will damage your tool. it needs as much juice as possible.
