I really like my new Dewalt jig saw. Very good quality

Bought this to replace my Ryobi (which wouldnt lock the angle properly). Right out of the box straight into deck cutting and no problems what so ever. Angle stayed at zero and cut all the anglesperfectly. The 0-3000+ speed is nice for cutting fine cuts.

I have had my DeWalt Jig saw going on 17 years now. One of the first DeWalt tools I ever bought. It has more then proved its self to me. And I believe it still cuts just as good today as it did the day I bought it. I build cabinets for a living so I do use my jig saw quite a lot when I'm installing cabinets. About my only complaint would be the way the base attaches to the saw its self. It is nice in the fact its easy to change the angle. But every once in a while i notice my cut is not straight...

Great Jigsaw

After trips to multiple Lowes locations and none had it in stock; I got online and ordered it. It was delivered fast and online ordering was easy. The saw is great! I bought a variety pack of Dewalt blades and have been using this saw on a lot of projects. Love my Dewalt tools!

Best Saw so far...

I bought my DW317 10 yrs ago, very happy with the saw. Its the blades I need direction. Unlike so many my U type blades never fall out, they just break or bend. H/D only has 1 style U blades and there very thin and expensive. Can I use the T style blade for my DW317 work horse? Please advise.

Best and Powerful

Only had one issue that was a screw to rotate the table of the saw was over tightened and was hard to loosen prior to first use. Other than that this is the best jigsaw I’ve owned

Great General Purpose Saw

I bought this in 2012 when my 30+ year old Skil Saw died. The DeWalt has a lot of great features, is comfortable handling, and I love the quick release blade vs. tightening 2 screws on my old saw. The saw has seen a lot of DYI action without any issues. It would have been nice if a fence had been included with the saw.

Top notch Jig Saw

Disappointed

I just purchased this jig saw and so far I am not impressed. The lock button is situated in such a place that you lock it while running the saw. The variable speed is difficult to set or change. I have broken 3 blades cutting thin sheet metal. I have to run the saw at an angle to cut a straight line. I have other DeWalt products but this does not meet my expectations.

Awesome. Best ever. Should have bought this long ago. Would have saved money in the long run. I'm replacing most of my tools to dewalt.

DO NOT BUY

Every time I use this saw the blade will fall off.

Shoe not trued up at the factory

The shoe was not trued up out of the box, but some time with my engineer's square fixed that right up. I haven't used it yet, but it seems well designed and manufactured.

DewaltJigsaw review

Keyless blade replacement is great. Have so far cut holes for receptacles and junction boxes in both 1/2" OSB and 2 and 1/2" rigid foam board. Easily cut both the circular shape and the rectangular shape in both materials. Big step up from my 25 year old craftsman jigsaw. .

Well built jigsaw. Blades are easily changed. The only negative is the jigsaw is heavy.

DEWALT makes a strong WORK FORCE, dependable 100%

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the jig saw a few years ago. I find it excellent. Not one problem, not one hassle with anything and I bought it RECONDITIONED! This was my first wood cutting electric tool. Now I carve and use a DEWALT planer as well. The jig saw doesn't get too hot even when going thru 2 inch thick wood for a bit of time too. I do scroll work. I love it that you are not cornered into using one type of shank design. It holds them all, Exceptional...
