Would RecommendI really don't see a frequent use for this tool as a home owner but for the pro, this could save some time and energy. The only drawback I can see is the lack of visibility when using the base. You can't see what you are cutting. I suppose there is not much that can be done about this. Clear material would get scuffed and have the same problem. Overall I like it. Great so far for cutting 1/2" rebar.
