What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the radio's powerful, clear sound with impressive bass response and stable Bluetooth connectivity across large job sites. Many appreciate its rugged construction, dual power options (AC and battery), and versatility for jobsites, garages, and outdoor use. However, a significant group reports power button failures after 6-12 months, rendering the device unusable despite otherwise excellent performance. Some note the volume buttons require excessive presses and the inability to charge batteries while plugged in. Overall, most customers consider it a solid choice despite reliability concerns.

Would RecommendVery happy with my new Dewalt max. Radio. Had some experience with dewalt radios way back when. Also had two bosch radio after that then switched entirely to a radio shack. Until it fell in freshly poured cement patio. All were simi good but none had the ruggedness or sound that the new max. Does. Would have liked to have seen a holder for the plug in wire or a discount for a dewalt battery of my choice.. Really liked the secured flexable antenna in the handle. Many good ideas Dewalt. Ke...

Love this radio
Would RecommendFirst of all, it’s made by dewalt, so you know it’s going to be a great product. Second, to get specific, the sound and bass are high quality considering it’s compact size. It can definitely get loud which is a must when you’re on the job site and I personally love the volume knob. The radio I used previously was a gift and it was made by ryobi. You had to push the volume button a hundred times it seemed to get it to the desired level. This radio adjust smoothly and the blue led screen is a gr...

Can't connect 110V with battery installed
Would RecommendGood sound, both highs and lows. The DCR018 radio has a clock, but this one doesn't - a significant deficiency, from my perspective. This is very inconvenient for me, since I move the radio from the proximity of a 110V outlet to other locations multiple times a day. The DCR018 has the connection elsewhere - as soon as the 110V cord is co...

will not charge Dewalt batteries
Would Recommendlove the sound, blue tooth connection, just sad that it will not also charge Dewalt batteries and the one that will do that is too big, heavy, and more expensive.
