Run time is poor

First, I have typically had good luck with Dewalt tools. This grinder disappoints. I have had this about 6months. I tried to figure out if the grinder, the charger, or the batteries were defective. Shame on me for not investigating a product properly. I was getting about 10 to 15 minutes run time. Here is why; 800W rating, 20V batteries rated at 4Ahr, so 800W/20V is 40A at full load. 4Ahr/40A is 0.1Hrs, or about 6minutes. What a huge disappointment.

Great grinder!

I am using this to carve saddles into logs for building. I have to admit I was skeptical of using a cordless tool for this task. Happy to report that it has exceed my expectations and performs the work without bogging down or draining the battery to fast. Candidly I only have a couple of hard days use on this tool but I think it is definitely a keeper. Easy to use great power

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a couple weeks ago to replace my corded grinder that I lost when my shop burned down I had mix of power tool brands before mostly dewalt but had other brands I can tell you I will only be replacing with dewalt I had the old 18v system and they were amazing then I had just started replacing with the 20v system when my shop burned down I will only buy the 20v system they are unstoppable.

Fantastic versatile tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got it to dig myself out of a nasty access hole where I couldn't get mains power - hanging 30 feet down, and off the facade of a building, removing some very shaky old metal work. Now I don't think more than a couple of days have passed before I've used the convenience of cordless power to clean or cut something. Highly recommended - with a big battery pack. It needs some serious juice.

Tough little grinder, will buy again.

I received this grinder as a gift about 6 months ago. I am a welder and complain often about my corded grinder(which is a beast) because I have leads, ground cables, and other trip hazards around so the last thing I want is another cord to trip on. I specialize in stairs and railings which, as you can imagine need to be clean as clean can be prior to paint or powder. I run, on average, 4-8 4 AH packs through this little guy 5-6 days a week so I believe at this point, I'm a qualified opini...

Works well. As expected.

This grinder does as expected. It uses a lot of power, so make sure you have two batteries. i like it.
