Less Than Expected

Bought this because I always wanted one and to install a security bar on a rear garage door. It required 8 3" screws. I drilled pilot holes as far as the bit would go - about 2.5 inches. Worked great until I hit the last half inch then did nothing. I finished using my old, but lightly used, 18 volt Dewalt drill which did a better job.

Perfect gift for a new do-it-yourselfer.

This impact driver has the strength and speed to thouroughly tighten galvanized bolts on a fence. It also is great for drilling into wolmanized wood. This was a gift for my son. He was able to quickly complete two unrelated tasks once he received the gift.

Totally worth the cost.

I have been holding off on getting one of these because I have multiple cordless drills, but after stripping out one too many screw heads, I finally broke down and bought one. The result, I love it. Been doing some remodeling and have yet to strip a single screw. Well worth it if you ask me.

Useful tool

Compared to my Bauer 20V it has a little more power. I was expecting more. It's good, but is it twice as good? It cost twice as much. Hope it outlives the warranty.

Impact Driver

Easy to handle. Can drive in anything you put it through. Changing from one adapter to another is a breeze. My new go to tool

Great drill minus the fact a week later a Dewalt drill with 2 batteries included was $30 cheaper than the one I purchased with one battery. Recycled the box so wasn’t able to return.

Chuck failures

They sell a nut driver kit for use with the driver. However if you use it you have to be careful. Trying to torque the nuts will break the chuck and it will no longer lock in bits. They simply fall out. There's no warning and the cost to repair exceeds the cost of a new bare tool. The driver still works but you're constantly looking for the bits that fall out. A good tool nonetheless.

Of Course, it's Dewalt

Love Dewalt corded and cordless products! Batteries last longer than most other brands as well. Con: replacement batteries are just too expensive. Might as well purchase a new tool that includes the batteries. Also, the corded products have more longevity and more oomph.

Bought impact driver online, when I received it I went to Lowe's to ask for a veterans discount, three days later received discount on my bank statement. Longest screw I've used driver on is a 6in, worked great, better than my drill, thank you Lowe's

A tool I always kind of wanted

I thought a impact driver would be convenient but not really justified for me. I was wrong, I should have bought this Dewalt impact driver long ago.

Needed this for working in tight spaces

I have several DeWalts. I like that I can share batteries which seem to last a long time.

Cant beat DeWalt tools. Great item! My second one. First lasted five years of rough use. Highly recommend.

Product sucks

I received this product as a gift and have used it maybe 6 or 7 times and I went to use it again and the motor fried on it. I tried to look up how to file a claim under the warranty and couldn't get anywhere. I wouldn't recommend dewalt products to anyone.
