Ratings & Reviews for DEWALT XR POWER DETECT 1/2-in 20-volt max Variable Speed Brushless Cordless Hammer Drill

Works good first one broke warranty was easy

I bought this because the one I was using broke after 6 months (exact same model) I contacted dewalt and they sent a pre paid shipping lable sent the old one back warranty was fast and easy I now have 2 of these (one for each ✋️) I was probably abusing the one that broke drilling concrete with an over size bit. No complaints really

Like butter

Does the job well. Good weight and balance. Used to drill into fireplace rock for mantle. Did the job with ease.

Good tool, wish the belt clip worked.

I had to buy this because my old one burned up in the middle of a renovation. I was happy that the handle is nicer, but the included belt clip had a manufacturing defect and could not be installed (no groove cut in the top). After owning the previous model for 2.5 years I would say the drill is great. I’m upset my old one died, and I didn’t have the time to stop and call Dewalt to figure out the warranty. Hammer is loud and fast and gets through just about anything. The light is super bright an...

Worth the money

Works as it should, powerful, reliable, lots of power and doesn’t kill the battery fast

Make sure you get the battery and charger.

Very easy to use! Not much experience with this type of tool, but the instructions were great!

Great tool

I had not bought a new DeWalt drill in a while. My old one unfortunately had broken and so I went to replace it immediately. The new Dewalt hammer drill is light and much easier to use than the old one. I would recommend this drill.

It’s a good drill for the price

Plenty of power in low range, plenty of speed in high range

Worth the money

Very powerful tool but look for a deal that includes battery.

Locking chuck is great Great price for tool

Very happy with brand Very durable and light weight

Get the 8 AH battery for full power

I purchased a model 708 "Atomic" drill for every day use and this with an 8 amp hour battery for the tough jobs. So far no regrets on either drill.

DEWALT Tools Only

I have always liked DEWALT over other tools. This particular drill is well worth the money. It is my third one to the collection of many DEWALT tools I own. It lives up to the DEWALT name. I have beat on my cordless DEWALT drills and they have always performed better than other name brand drills. This brushless motor drill is quiet and performs better than all of my other drills. I will be adding a few more to my collection.

Powerful so hold on

This is a well made professional tool. Better then my old drills.

Powerful

Powerful enough to mix 5 gallon drywall pail easily

You won’t be disappointed

Excellent addition to my Dewalt set. It is very powerful and the light is extremely helpful.

Powerful and Great Battery Life

This tool provided enough power, but was also easy to manage. The battery life seems long enough for several projects

Great Gift

Bought this for my husband as a Christmas present turned out I had to give it to him early to hang a TV on the wall of our basement that was concrete block. Worked perfect he was able to hang the TV in a few minutes. He also hung an outside decoration on a brick wall within minutes! Wish I had bought this sooner :)
