Nice drill

I found this drill to be powerful with aa long run time, yet it is well balanced so it can be used on more delicate projects. The 3 speed gearbox gives it a versatile range of speeds.

Ridiculous drill - does what it should.

This is a powerful, durable, drill. I have done things with this drill that it hated, but it did them anyway - like running 6" hole saws, drilling holes for concrete anchors in 50-yr-old concrete, driving 8" structural screws, and more, for years. It just doesn't stop. It IS showing a bit of age (gearbox is a little loose, chuck doesn't work quite right sometimes), but after what I've done to this drill I'm just pleased it's still running. Great job Dewalt - you built a survivor.

Hammer Drill

My 23 year old Dewalt hammer drill finally crapped out. I've used Makita, Bosch, and Milwaukee tools for my home DIY projects but nothing last as long as this Dewalt. I will buy only Dewalt from now on. I bought a new one and it has more power and the charges last much longer. GREAT PRODUCT

Awesome drill for holes in cement and ice fishing

This is the most awesome drill I have ever owned. I use it for drilling holes in cement. I use it on a 6" or 8" Mora hand auger for ice fishing. It cuts through ice like a breeze. Use a handle on the drill and hold on tight because this drill has a ton of torque. Like others have said you can drill a lot of ice holes on one battery. Good purchase.

Great powerful drill

I bought this to anchor my mini split. The hammer drill function worked perfectly and drilled out the holes I needed in the pad for my anchors. Since then, I’ve used it to bore holes for running electrical work building some cabinets, building and mounting doors for my workshop. I have an older dewalt drill, it works fine, but this hammer drill really packs a punch, without torquing your wrist in two different directions.

Lots of Power!

Love the power, very powerful! Use with garden auger and ground engaging attachments. Works like a charm. Makes my gardening chores so much easier!

Exceeded My Wildest Expectations

I bought this drill to work with my garden planting auger. Just tried it out for the first time. OMG! It tore through the dirt like melted butter. I do live in middle GA , so we do have a bit of clay in our soil and the place where I tried my auger and new drill was previously unworked. Which means it was well packed. Nice drill great features

Trigger issues

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have purchased two of these in past 4 years, the latest has lasted just over the three year mark. First one didn’t last that long but it was my fault. Trigger mechanism seems to be the week point in most of the cordless tools. I was using the drill with a small wire brush to clean some parts working fine, I put it away next day it won’t work. Great Hammer Drill Kit!

The Dewalt Drill arrived attached with the 5ah battery in the case and with the other battery you can tackle any project without worries of running out of juice anytime soon. The Hammer Drill has tons of torque and will drill through pretty much anything. It is a little heavy but of course that is expected with a drill with this much power. It has a great feel and light weight. I would definitely recommend this driver. It has been a great addition to my Dewalt collection.

A very powerful hammer drill in a compact size

Able to drill through concrete with ease. Can be use for screw driving as well. Only downside is the chuck will rust (the part where u hold to tighten the drill bit)
