Worked for the project I needed, but I've gotten batter Dewalt batteries in other kits.

Powerful little drill

This thing has some impressive torque without the weight of the bigger 20 volt hammer drill. If drilling heavier metal, and the drill bit bites, you better be paying attention, because it is tough stop the drill from spinning around.

great hammer drill

I bought this specifically to drill 1/2" holes in concrete. This hammer drill performed flawlessly. I wish the drill bits lasted as long. I used it with a 5Ah battery and almost drilled 4 holes around 3" deep, the battery had 1 bar left. It took about 5-10 minutes for each hole because the first drill bit I used wasn't so good. The drill warmed up after the 3rd hole and needed some time to cool, as the performance seems to reduce as it gets hot. It's never too hot to the touch. I'm surprised thi...

Dewalt is the best

This DEWALT is compact but packs the power to get the job done. I use it with a 3" auger to plant tulips. It worked like a champ.

Must-have cordless drill

I have the entire set of 18volt Dewalt cordless tools and now it's time to move onto the 20 volt models. So far I have been pleased at the power and light weight of this new hammer drill model. As as usual, look for the online deals with free shipping to your door!

Dewalt hammer drill

I purchased the Dewalt hammer drill for projects around the house. Excellent tool for those house hold projects I used it for repair the siding on my work shed. The drill is brushless, strong and versatile. The drill came with two batteries, charger and carrying case. Replaced my craftsman drill where batteries died.

What I had hoped for.

I had tried several other hammer drills no success. So far I have only used this one in testing how it drills various sized holes and in various materials and it seems pretty good, no issues. I do not like the light location as it shines behind the chuck and you can't see what you're drilling anyway.

More of a Toy Than a Tool

Great Drill - wish light was better positioned

Recently purchased this drill to replace a full set of a competitor tools I have had for years but have had battery issues making them essentially useless. Pleased with my first few jobs except for the fact that the illumination from the worklight does not light up the end of the drill or the driver. What good is power with a useless chuck?

I've owned a Milwaukee 12v drill & hackzall for years. I've used and abused them, and have nothing but good things to say of them. Five-plus stars each. Recently, I needed to do some drilling through concrete/masonry, and figured it was time for a 20v system. DeWalt had good reviews and the price was right, so I picked one up. Mistake. The chuck is absolute garbage. It's hard to tighten, and larger bits work loose. Avoid.

Bad product

After 90 days this drill had a bad grinding sound coming from it I bought this for my son-in-law for Christmas now I look like I bought a piece of junk
