Would RecommendLight weight and very easy to use. Battery charges in minutes and lasts a very long time. Nice feature is built in light that beams on the work area.. Love my new drill! Think I'll be hiding this one from the family... Wouldn't want to lose it. ;)

Would RecommendLet me first state that I mostly like this drill, not as much as my 18-volt Milwaukee but it does get the job done. Here is what I do not like about it. The LED is useless and has no effect on helping to light the work, the belt clip is rough on any cloth it comes in repeated contact with. There is also no on board bit storage which really stinks because I'm always fumbling through my pockets for a screw bit while hanging off a ladder, come on DeWalt, you can do better than this. Would RecommendThis is a great drill. It is lighter and a stronger driver than my 10 year old Dewalt. Batteries seem to hold a longer charge. Much lighter and smaller than by other Dewalt. Very pleased with the purchase Loew's had the best price after shopping around. The only addition I can think of is my first driver had side holders for driving bits which was very handy, no big deal.

Good for almost anything
Would RecommendThe only gripe I have about this is the led placement. The light is unable to actually light up what you're trying to work with. The battery lasts long if you use it for smaller jobs, but since it comes with two, you can always stay on the go since they charge fairly quickly. The small design really helps to get into places where regular full size drills cannot get to and the lithium batteries keep it nice and lightweight. Overall, an excellent purchase!

Would RecommendI use it primarily for drilling small holes and occasionally to drive screws. Great lightweight drill. Only have used it for a month. Charges fast. Holds charge well. Runs long on a charge. Better than my DeWalt 12v NiCad drill. Much lighter and easier to use. One hand chuck is great improvement. This is my first Lithium. Would RecommendI have a furniture delivery business, and I need a lightweight driver. When i saw this drivre i was skeptical as nothing this small has ever been able to do the job for me before. This thing will sink 4 inch wood screws into couch frames all day long, for a couple of days. To be honest, i can't get this kind of longevity and performance out of my big 18v dewalt, which is bulky and difficult to drag around all day, and often won't fit where i need it during assemblies. I am an older person and like being able to use power tools that I can work with- this product is light weight, has great battery life, I really like the belt holder and for my endless around-the-home projects it is superb!! A welcome addition to my tool box!
Best DeWalt Drill yet
Would RecommendI've owned other DeWalt drills, and this one is the best yet. It's small and light weight with full size features and fits in my hand well. It is a great addition to my Handyman business and easily fits in my tool box. When your putting up a ceiling fan, try using that 18 volt for the job and you'll realize the extra weight is an issue. I would even recommend this drill to the ladies out there. The drill is a little pricey but well worth it.

Would RecommendI received this 12 volt DEWALT drill for Christmas from my wife, what a great gift! I have read a lot of great things written about these new 12 volt from DEWALT in all of the contrator magazines, so I put it on my list for the wife.
