Upgrade from 18 Volt

I brought this to extended the life of my current 18 volt tools, plus have batteries for when I upgraded to the new 20 volt tools. At first they worked great and fully charged. After about 6 months the charge indicator would only show 2 bars of complete charge instead of the 3. Now 1 year later and after a complete charge they only last what seems about 10 minutes before completely dying and are in need of a recharge. The batteries are the 2 AH rating but yet don't last at all. I am not sure if ...

Adapter Hard to swap between tools.

It arrived in good condition and two days before the original estimated date. The Batteries work fine with my circular saw and drill with decent battery life. The Charger does recharge a depleted battery in less than an hour. The Adapter is hard to swap between tools, but other than that it is a good purchase.

Charge lasts 30 seconds

Didn't hold up longer than 5 minutes...junk and it's crazy hard to take the pack out

Dewalt 20V Adapter w/ batterys

Adapter is very difficult to remove from Saws all, and cheep batterys that come with it dont last 5 mins. w/ circular saw or saws all. didnt by this to watch the batteries charge constantly. waste of money.

Great option for older 18V DeWalt cordless tools

Was gifted a few DeWalt 18V cordless tools (drill, saw & charger), but no batteries. After several years of trying to source batteries a friend told me about this kit that came with adapter, batteries & charger. Kit price was just a little higher than a single, old, hard to find DeWalt 18V battery! Has worked well with my DC390 cordless saw. Only complaint is the release tabs of the adapter are a bugger-bear to release from the saw. Have been using for a month.

Not made well

Two items 1st, Batteries do not hold a charge very long. Bad batch with these adapters. and yes I have had several dewalt tools and batteries been in business since 68. (Plumbing, electrical business) The adapter locks on tight, so tight I have to put in a vise to remove it from tool. Dewalt use to be the go to tool. that has changed.

Adapter difficult to remove

I like that i can still use my reliable older tools with new modern batteries. Like another reviewer mentioned, The adapter is extremely difficult to remove once inserted into a tool. The fit is way too tight. Any advice would be appreciated. I feel the adapter will break after a few removals.

It works great in my 18 volt drill and inpact wrench

Easy transition only thing is I wish it comes with 2 adapter so I don’t have to keep interchanging.

Extended the life of my 20+ year old 4 tool set.

After 20 + years and multiple sets of batteries I purchased this adapter 2+ years ago. This has extended the life of my tool set into the Li Ion age. The tools last longer on the job and I may yet be able to get another 10 years out of this tool set. The adapter & newer Li Ion batteries look a bit funky, but you soon get used to it.
