Ratings & Reviews for Deckorators 6-in x 6-in High Point Copper Plastic Pine Deck Post Cap
Ratings may include incentivized customer reviews.
What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise the elegant, copper-like appearance of these post caps, with many noting they look premium and significantly enhance outdoor structures. Most find installation straightforward with a snug fit on standard posts. However, many reviewers express disappointment with long-term durability, reporting that the finish deteriorates within one to three years, turning black, flaking, or peeling under weather exposure. Several note the plastic coating fails to withstand outdoor conditions gracefully. Despite durability concerns, most customers appreciate the initial aesthetic impact and consider the visual upgrade worthwhile.

Would Not RecommendThe product didn't hold up to the weather. I had to purchase a new post cap because the other just fell apart after year. This is the reason I wouldn't recommend this product.

Replacement Post Cap
I bought post caps when we built our house four years ago. They were plain wood and I had them stained. They did not hold up well at all. One fell apart and another split down the middle. I got these caps and am hoping the copper tops make them stand up to weather better. They are much prettier than the plain wood ones. So far so good.

Quality post caps
Would RecommendI bought these to protect the top of my deck posts but also to give it a little pop. These are beautiful and well-made and worked perfectly for me. They were easy for me to put on and they are staying on.
